It is fine to set ambitious goals. These should be communicated to Tesla internally and reality should be communicated to the outside world. That is good business.

Any reason Tesla is not sharing this new UMC on their site and is this cheaper to make? Willl S & X eventually get the same UMC or will the 3 UMC be different from S&X which would be strange. Would old Tesla adapters fit this cord as I have an old 14-30 that I would like to use. Thoughts?

I think the S is better looking but I like the look of the 3 except for the duck bill front . Too severe of a look. I think they could have made that look better. They probably did not on purpose as they wanted the S to look cleaner.

That is what I am trying to figure out exactly. I cannot figure out how adapters work with that corded MC as I only have a 30 amp plug available.

Seems kind of odd that they would not include the adapter for atl east charging in regular wall outlet assuming that is in fact is the cable that comes with the 3. Do they expect you to buy an additional cable for travel?

How do you charge with a standard plug or dryer outlet with that UMC?

If that is the new UMC will you be able to use the NEMA 14-30 and other NEMA adapters?
