    Door seal leak

So we've had some frequent rain and there has been no more water inside the car. I did three things that may have solved the problem. 1. Recalibrated the windows. The back one no longer makes the clunk sound when the brake is pressed to start the car. 2. Cleaned off the entire seal for the door...

    Door seal leak

I've had some issues with that back window come to think of it. Sometimes when I press the brake pedal to put the car into drive I hear a thunk from that window like it's closing it's seal. I am thinking it might be cold air entering the car now. I recalibrated the window (I think). I followed...

    Door seal leak

We had really heavy rain for a long stretch over night. I'm confused though because when I wash my cars I always hit the door gap with the hose from multiple angles to flush anything out that might get stuck between the body and door. Never had water get past the seal before. I think I'm more...

    Door seal leak

Tomorrow I am going to try and hit the door with a hose and see if water gets inside.

    Door seal leak

I would normally agree, but here is another picture I sent the service center. You can see water had run down the inner door past the point of the outer seal meaning water is in the car.

    Door seal leak

I dunno, you seem to have better working eyes than Tesla service. Don't sell yourself short.

    Door seal leak

I hope someone can help me to figure out what justifies servicing. My M3 rear right door seems to me like it's leaking into the cabin. I've sent pictures to Tesla service and they keep telling me if water is not entering the cabin then it's not a concern. I've attached a picture. What is...

    JuiceBox 40 cable heat

With my JuiceBox being indoor wall mounted I'm tempted just to open the box again and run a 6AWG hardline right from the breaker strait to the JuiceBox with no plug. I cannot see that idea being any worse than the plug that is there now as it's I think a 8AWG and I don't find the breaker or...

    JuiceBox 40 cable heat

Sorry I just realized my responses aren't making sense. I misread. I believe the main cable itself is 8AWG. What I am lost on is why they would ask for 8AWG from the breaker to the plug box but 6AWG is recommended on a 50amp breaker? Shouldn't the plug cable be 6AWG as going 8AWG creates a...

    JuiceBox 40 cable heat

I agree. I was confused when I saw that number but the install guide requested 8AWG but 6AWG is recommended. Seemed like a bottle neck to me.

    JuiceBox 40 cable heat

To follow up the temp on the cable states 105deg C.

    JuiceBox 40 cable heat

The 14-50 plug wire has a stamp on it starting 100deg or so (I can confirm tomorrow morning I know it's 100+). The wire gets hot but not hot enough that I cannot hold it continuously. It's always been warm when in use, I've tested with a 2017 IONIQ, 2015 LEAF and 2021 M3. It gets the hottest...

    JuiceBox 40 cable heat

Zero oxidization on plug and terminals. Cord is essentially strait zero bending or twisting. Evse is indoors so I would be surprised if there was weather abuse. If there was any damage to the plug in assuming the built in GFCI would trip.

    JuiceBox 40 cable heat

Took apart the box and plug, everything looks brand new and it's over 3 years old used almost daily. I don't get the feeling the issue is the plug as it never gets hot. The line going from the breaker to the plug box is cool to the touch. The only thing I can think of is the line going from the...
