Unhappy with FSD sales and pricing

Let's not forget that the main point of FSD, beyond the "cool" factor, is that, when properly implemented, it will be significantly safer than non-autonomous driving.

Unhappy with FSD sales and pricing

Scary stuff. But yes, I see people doing really dumb things in vehicles all the time, including, unfortunately, Teslas.

Unhappy with FSD sales and pricing

You are a brave man, @MikeHolliday. With all of the mistakes I've seen Smart Summon make, the only time I would use it would be to play with it in an empty or near-empty parking lot.

Anyone else dislike the new UI?

Absolutely! This is exactly what my wife says, too. She wants to know why so much room needs to be taken up displaying object on and along the roadway that we can already clearly see looking out the windshield, and yet useful information like the map and navigation information is now smaller and...

Why is the auto parking so bad? 8 Years later.

I agree. It seems like most of the time when I try to get my M3 to auto park, it doesn't even give me the option to do it for either parallel parking or perpendicular parking even though it's clearly a situation where it should work. It's frustrating.

Will Tesla be able to deliver FSD with HW3.0 and current Model 3 sensor suite, ever?

Keep in mind that there is already at least one trucking company in Arizona that has been delivering freight using self-driving trucks along I-10 since May 2019. The company, in partnership with UPS, uses Navistar trucks and the company's own self-driving software. Each truck has nine cameras...

New breed of Model 3 drivers out there.

I dunno, here in Central California in the USA we haven't had much success waving to other Tesla drivers, whether they are M3 or S or X. When I had my 2006 Corvette, I almost always got waves back when I waved to other 'Vette drivers, and way back when I used to ride a motorcycle, I nearly...

Blog Model S Owner Surprised with Hardware 3 Retrofit

We just had the first annual service of our Model 3 done in Monterey, California. I asked about the HW 3 upgrade and was told it was not yet available but should start becoming available in approximately November 2019. So maybe by Spring 2020 we'll be able to schedule to have the upgrade done.

    Getting too used to Autopilot

You're right, that is frustrating, and even our Model 3, which has the EAP, does this.

    What extra range?

We took delivery of our Tesla Model 3 Long Range RWD with EAP the first week of August 2018. We were excited about the articles and forum threads we had been reading that a software update was going to increase the range of our car 5% (from 310 miles to 325 miles) and also increase peak power...

Tesla Owners That Hog Supercharger Spaces

A third party company that sells Tesla aftermarket accessories includes some placcards with nearly every order which really come in handy for situations like this, including some that you can actually use for another Tesla vehicle that is taking up a supercharger spot but isn't charging.

    FSD Price increasing May 1?

And I would have done the same, had I learned about it in time. Oh well. For now, I can only hope that a sale will return at some point at a price point I'm willing to pay. $6,000 is definitely more than I'm willing to pay right now. I know E.M. has said the price for FSD will continue to be...

    FSD Price increasing May 1?

We bought our rear-wheel drive extended range Tesla Model 3 in August 2018 and ponied up for the EAP upgrade to standard AP. Ever since then, when I log on my Tesla account and look at software upgrades available for purchase, I've seen the FSD option priced at $5,000. I heard a rumor toward the...

    Firmware 12.1.1

I've got the latest update 12.1.2 in our Tesla Model 3 which has the Enhanced Auto Pilot (EAP) feature, though not FSD. I have not noticed the improvements that others seemed to have noticed. In fact it downright scared me on California 152 westbound between Los Banos and Gilroy. We were...

Autopilot goof. Good thing I was paying attention :)

While on a trip from the Central Valley of California to Monterrey, California, we were travelling west on State Route 152 west of Los Banos and going up the grade to Pacheco Pass. This is a four lane section of divided highway. I had our Model 3 Enhanced Auto-Pilot engaged. As we were going...
