Discussion: Tesla Energy / Auto Customer Service

I talked to an elevated representative yesterday. They seemed to have taken me seriously. She said she's reaching out to local warehouses to see if she can get a new inverter of a different brand. I'm not holding my breath but at least it seems to be making progress.

Discussion: Tesla Energy / Auto Customer Service

Thanks, that's helpful. I'm talking to Tesla now. I got an RMA number but they still have no status. I told them that I wanted a new inverter of a different brand and that I'm filing a complaint with the AG's office, and that I'm an attorney. I'm sure all of this will continue to get ignored.

Tesla Solar vs ....[third party competitors]

Start looking at competitors. My recent experience has been awful: https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/inverter-out-for-8-weeks-no-help-from-tesla.249385/

    Dead Inverter? Solaredge SE7600

I have a dead Solar Edge inverter also. This process has not gone well. I'm ready to seek legal action. See my thread here: (moderator note) thread combined with tesla customer service thread. Link to specific post referenced is here...

Discussion: Tesla Energy / Auto Customer Service

I had my solar system installed last December and was very very happy with it. The install was great and the installers were very professional. See this thread for extensive pics and a discussion. On October 9, the inverter went out. I went through all of the troubleshooting and couldn't get it...

    Arizona Powerwall Installs

but at least it will get you past the peak energy rate hours (and keep your demand low if you’re on a customer generation plan)

Solar Panels on a Flat Roof

First full day of generation. It was a perfect sunny December day in central Arizona. I'm happy with that amount of generation from a 10.54 KW system (31 panels).

Tesla 17 kW with 4 Powerwalls in SW Florida

My install was just finished at the beginning of December. The crew here was likewise very nice, friendly, and professional. They definitely didn't mind having me up on the roof (at a safe distance away from their worksite) watching and explaining things to me. I love your setup and the passive...

Master Thread: Energy products and Tax discussions

I think demand may continue to be stable or increase in large part due to more and more people working from home, and this trend likely continuing. People are therefore using more energy at home, and with time of use plans (like what we have in AZ), it makes so much sense to have solar because...

Solar Panels on a Flat Roof

The mounts are attached with lag bolts bolted into the roof rafters. This was made easy because I have the blueprints to my house showing exactly where the rafters are and what size they are. Tesla then sealed up every mount location with a caulk sealant called M1. It's sealed in three areas...

Solar Panels on a Flat Roof

That website is amazing. I compared my setup (15* tilt) to what it would be with a normal roof (30* to 45* tilt) and it looks like my low tilt is better for the summer but not as good in the winter. This works for me though because I have a gas furnace and gas water heaters.

Solar Panels on a Flat Roof

Your setup looks amazing. I also have a cabin in Pine with a shingle roof that faces due west. I'm considering getting solar there, however, my electric bills average about $100 per month (I have gas heat and water heater). Do you have APS in Flagstaff? Pine has APS and I haven't looked at...

Solar Panels on a Flat Roof

The rolled on asphalt roof is original (1996). However, last year we had it recoated with elastomeric coating over top. Structurally the roof was fine so we didn't remove anything. Just added the elastomeric coating over top. It's a pretty nice setup - it's all white and super reflective. It...

Solar Panels on a Flat Roof

I'm at 33 degrees north (Mesa, AZ), but we have very little cloud cover most of the year.
