I talked to an elevated representative yesterday. They seemed to have taken me seriously. She said she's reaching out to local warehouses to see if she can get a new inverter of a different brand. I'm not holding my breath but at least it seems to be making progress.

Thanks, that's helpful. I'm talking to Tesla now. I got an RMA number but they still have no status. I told them that I wanted a new inverter of a different brand and that I'm filing a complaint with the AG's office, and that I'm an attorney. I'm sure all of this will continue to get ignored.

The mounts are attached with lag bolts bolted into the roof rafters. This was made easy because I have the blueprints to my house showing exactly where the rafters are and what size they are. Tesla then sealed up every mount location with a caulk sealant called M1. It's sealed in three areas...

My recollection of the angle is 15 degrees combined between the roof and the panels.

Thanks, that's a huge help. It looks like his roof is a similar material as mine (rolled-on asphalt composite). Mine has an elastomeric coating over top though, and it has parapets around the border.

It's a Tesla install. "Flat roof" is a bit of a misnomer. They always have a bit of slope for the water to run off. Maybe Tesla changed their policies. They haven't brought up any concerns about the roof type.

This is the initial layout. Install hasn't happened yet. I am thinking of moving up to 10 kw. Over the last 365 days (10/2/2019 to 10/1/2020) I used a little over 23,000 kwh. I have SRP and in my estimation getting a huge system that creates more power than you use doesn't make financial sense.

I'm willing to wait it out also. I live in AZ and don't need AWD. No way I'm springing for another few thousand bucks to get it earlier. That being said, if Tesla wants to give me an AWD model for my RWD reservation price I'd jump on it.
