Thank you everyone for your inputs. Yeap, I agree 1) It would take a lot of new HW, money and effort to upgrade the AP and 2) Even it is feasible, Tesla may not be willing to do, for atleast to increase the sales on the new car.

As my Sales rep, if its an Inventory car (not a Loaner/Testdrive car), there will not be any additional Shipping fee. There will be Destination Fee ($1200) for all vehicles though.

Finally the wait for over. We took delivery of our S yesterday night. Its absolutely stunning. We placed our order on 9/19 and its delivered on 9/29. Its a Inventory S75. They had to ship it from Atlanta to Dallas.
