    Financing Tesla vehicles in Canada

Is that based on BOC raising rates or US Fed? Kinda confused about how these rates are determined and how they will impact my MY delivery next April.

New Federal IZEV - does M3 SR+ qualify again?

With the expanded IZEV eligibility criteria for cars at $65k does this mean SR+ will now re-qualify for federal $5k rebate? TIA

    Financing Tesla vehicles in Canada

With orders being fulfilled in April 2022 right now. How does financing application work, do banks hold the rate for 6 months or do you apply just before delivery? Appreciate any insights into the process.

Model Y should be $6500 cheaper in Canada

Let’s say they did quarterly priced adjustments according to a fudged forex spread. They could always do a 30 day price guarantee, ie if car drops in price by more than $500 within 30 days we refund you the difference between $500 and the amount. Lastly, more frequent resets mean that pice...

Model Y should be $6500 cheaper in Canada

There’s a lot of chatter here about why dynamic pricing can’t be achieved. My issue is that Tesla is supposed to be an innovative company, so when you come on here and say this can’t happen because of x,y,z you sound like ford/gm in the early 00’s talking about how BEVs won’t work. Tesla, as a...

Model Y should be $6500 cheaper in Canada

They just passed on a 30k CAD haircut to chinese MY buyers. New year = new financial guidance. They could reset their pricing any time they want to. It’s 6500 spread + 13% HST for most of us. With taxes that’s a 10% spread vs USA/China pricing. Most auto manufacturers are 1-3% spread vs USA...

Model Y should be $6500 cheaper in Canada

Tesla doesn’t follow any of the rules of other car companies so why should they start now? They don’t negotiate prices, they don’t have model years, they have limited trims/specs. Additionally, they have told customers they would dynamically change prices on exchange rates in the past.

Model Y should be $6500 cheaper in Canada

Model Y just got bio defense hepa filters + heated steering wheel in China for the equivalent of 63k CAD. All that plus better build quality. Also Tesla could just introduce USD pricing worldwide instead of re-setting prices every few years. They get to keep profits constant and get more EV on...

Model Y should be $6500 cheaper in Canada

Change My View. US pricing at current exchange rates has Model Y at $63,500 CAD before tax vs the $69,900 CAD we're paying. Tesla, if you're listening - you could provide Model Y owners in Canada a pseudo 5k rebate similar to M3 SR+ to boost MY sales next year without impacting your built in...

    HW 3.0 Deliveries in Canada

Sorry, I don't know what you mean by "Tesla is the source" - that's slightly vague. Do you work for Tesla and have non-publicly available information? Are you referring to Elon's tweet about how cars after April 12, 2019 are supposed to have HW 3.0? I'm asking because my initial experience was...

    HW 3.0 Deliveries in Canada

What is your source for all new cars come with hw3? Several threads and discussions suggest otherwise - although that could be a USA/Europe issue.

    HW 3.0 Deliveries in Canada

Just to preface I know that there is already a thread on this topic in the M3 forum, but hoping to get some Canada-centric information here as it seems HW 3.0 availability is different across different global regions. Has anyone been getting HW 3.0 on June/July deliveries to Canada (Ontario)...

    Financing Tesla vehicles in Canada

Can anyone confirm that rates are still ~3.5/60 mo and 3.9 for 72+ mo terms? Fixed mortgage rates dropped in June, hoping to see a corresponding move for auto loans too. Thanks in advance
