My nightmare relationship with Tesla came to an end today

@Avendit If by referring to it as a Lemmon makes you feel any better about yours, then all well and good. I don't believe it was a Lemmon, I am of the opinion that they (model 3) are just overpriced junk (apart from the sat nav). They are not great cars, they can probably be good cars, but...

My nightmare relationship with Tesla came to an end today

Just to address a few points I've taken from comments so far, in no order. Firstly, why would I consider a model S, well, given the current price of 2018/19 models, I feel this could work out not too bad financially, not the same chance of continued depreciation compared to what I've went...

My nightmare relationship with Tesla came to an end today

After 18 months and some 6000 miles, I finally parted ways with my 2021 model 3 LR today. In that time, it's had 3 charge ports, 2 steering racks, a front wiring loom, a 12v battery, several usb sticks, front fog lights and rear light clusters, to name but a few trivial things. It has been...

Things to do before trading/selling [people who have already done so]

It's likely the car will be getting collected, so just need to make sure I can drive it a few hundred yards across the road and of course that they can move it from there.

Things to do before trading/selling [people who have already done so]

Searching throws up lots of results, some of which slightly conflicting, so I'm looking for replies only from people that have been through the process of selling or trading their Tesla please. As I understand it, I should do a FACTORY RESET from inside the car (does this allow the car to be...

Todays problem: Steering Assist Reduced, Park Assist Not Available, ABS, Traction Control and Air Bag Warnings (and probably others)

Hopefully a final update on this sage which may or may not be of interest to someone that has similar steering related issues or warnings. I picked up my car this morning, having had the steering rack replaced again. However, the "Engineering team" are still looking into the issue. Anyway, I'd...

    Oh Deer, repair estimate

Given the current value of the car, insurance will probably deem it as an uneconomical repair

Todays problem: Steering Assist Reduced, Park Assist Not Available, ABS, Traction Control and Air Bag Warnings (and probably others)

Another week without the car, still no further forward as to finding the cause of the fault or how it will be resolved. Might go and look at some self driving Ford's over there weekend...

Todays problem: Steering Assist Reduced, Park Assist Not Available, ABS, Traction Control and Air Bag Warnings (and probably others)

And its back, less than 300 miles since the steering rack was replaced, the fault is back. So here we are, front end wiring loom replaced, steering rack replaced and now fault is back. Happened on the A9, 1/2 way to Inverness, so planned weekend ruined. Tesla roadside were absolutely shocking...

Tesla showing how much more expensive they are compared to a petrol equivalent.

I occasionally browse existing stock, not that I would ever by another Tesla but it does give me a chuckle now and then. Anyway, I was browsing and stumbled across a model S and was a bit surprised to see that they are being quite honest about the fact it will cost more to charge this than an...

    Autowipers are actually dangerous

If its torrential rain in traffic, perhaps other conditions and situations where I'd prefer to keep my hands on the wheel and as importantly, my eyes on the road, the last thing I want to do it look down for a pop up menu and attempt to hit the right area on the screen. Good try though...

Todays problem: Steering Assist Reduced, Park Assist Not Available, ABS, Traction Control and Air Bag Warnings (and probably others)

Another update of sorts, car is back in and this time it needs a new steering rack apparently... I just love the reliability of these cars.

Todays problem: Steering Assist Reduced, Park Assist Not Available, ABS, Traction Control and Air Bag Warnings (and probably others)

A bit of an update. The car was in the SC for 2 weeks or so and they replaced a "front end wiring loom" and despite a catalogue of other issues while the car was there, relating to loan cars and new faults discovered when I collected the car, I have managed a little over a week or 70 miles or...

M3 LR Steering wheel feels funny

Absolutely sick of hearing this now (not from you). It's almost their answer to anything they can't fix and I'm sure it gets used as a fob off in many cases.

Recommendation for cleaning product for the light coloured interior fabric

@MrBadger They are checking availability of parts, I had suggested that as they couldn't clean it (was a mobile visit as part of other things that were not right following 2 weeks in their workshop) that they replace the part. I wasnt hopeful that they would actually replace the part but at the...
