pinholes on the top corners of the hatch + taillight gaskets were the cause of water ingress to me.

Model Y- car computer to be replaced after running 4K miles

I had mine replaced @ 25,000km as GPS calibration remained permanently out. Some (not all) settings were wiped out, trip computer etc. FSD etc had to be recalibrated and sign up for the beta all over again.

    2023 M-Y Hatch water Ingress

Yes popped everything off for inspection, Not difficult. But I think you won’t need to remove just to get to those corners. You’ll quickly see it. If there is a pin hole at the corner then you need to dab silicone. If it’s flat then you’re good.

    2023 M-Y Hatch water Ingress

Four points of ingress for me: drip holes at the top edges of the tailgate- they’re supposed to be sealed from factory. The replacement tailgate we received after collision did not have them pinched and sealed. The other area is below the taillamps assemblies - but water only gets in when...

Scraping/Groaning sound while driving up incline and turning in parking garage.

I had mine looked at two months ago. Apparently it’s the underbody panels / skid plate. Something was adjusted or replaced. Noise is gone.

After market rims or OEM rims? If after market, where to buy in Toronto?

Any of the big tire and wheel shops in GTA should be able to service you (Tires23, SimplyTire etc) I use Braelin flowformed wheels for winter but I’ve seen them used as summers as well.

How are the Replika r241 wheels for the Model Y?

BR14 in 19x9.5 for winter setup. Just a test fit, then washed and ceramic coated the wheels to be packed away for another three months.

Lug nuts way under torqued from Fremont CA

Hey there. I read your initial response and fair point. I can’t remember if I tried to measure the other way by tightening them. FWIW it took significantly less effort to break them loose than ones actually torqued properly.

Lug nuts way under torqued from Fremont CA

I was waiting to read on somebody else to write about this. I checked my 22 MYP and my brothers 3 SR+ a few weeks ago. Both of them started loosening at less than 50 ft lb torque. Only found out as I installed wheel lock kit

Lets talk mud flaps, spot welded nuts and loose bolts (also why every Model Y owner needs mud flaps)

Lol. I’ll be looking around for other aftermarket alternatives in the meantime. After my F80 got taken down by metal shrapnel to the radiator … I’m all for keeping things clean.
