If you mean insinuate that Porsche owners are a particular set because there in expectation of quality engineering then yes I also agree with you there. Perhaps, Tesla needs a car such as the Porsche Taycan (interesting name) to inspire them to step up their game.

Respectfully, I was ignorant too until you actually get the car. Do NOT let the excitement of the car and honeymoon phase get in the way of going through ALL aspects of the car. Really look at every panel, make sure ALL electronics work as they are supposed to, look for noises, make sure...

If you look closely you will see that the rear panels all measure in the 350 range. I would not bring it up if it was a 120-150 issue really. Its just VERY odd when the paint meter reads almost 2-3x as much on specific panels akin to an accident.

I will do. I don't want anyone having to deal with this situation and if those masochist do exist they will know which car to buy :)

OP: I initiated a "Buy Back." Basically, spoke to our local sales manager who clearly understands we are not happy and will act as a mediator between Tesla legal counsel and their resolution team. I just sent a detailed email to them. Let see where it goes. If you are going to do the Buy Back...

I'm not so sure about that theory as the paint measures similar thickness in cars of other marquis as the door but only our rear panel / trunk measure 2.5x as much. Also the dealership said we can wrap it and it will not affect any sensors.
