I just returned from Tesla's service center, and the problem turned out to be a control setting issue. In the Lock section of the car panel display, there is a setting labeled "Driver Door Unlock Mode". I believe this is was introduced under a recent firmware update, and that I had turned it on...

Could it be my 12 volt battery needs replacing? I thought I read somewhere that this may be a tell-tale sign.

Where is that mode controlled from? The trunk release button and display panel icon to open the trunk won’t work on my car. Only way to open the trunk has been through the app. Same issue with the frunk.

I’m having the same problem all of a sudden with my 2020 M3P. Trunk won’t open using screen nor with the trunk lid button. I usually have to “turn off” the car using the lock icon on my phone app and then unlock it again, at which point the vehicle screen icon will release the latch. I think...

Just found some water on the trunk liner of my M3. Nothing major, but I also didn't have anything in there to get damaged. I have an appointment tomorrow with the local service center, so we'll see what they have to say. What's disappointing to read is that Tesla doesn't seem to have a solution...

Is the used car market beginning to soften, or does the M3P depreciate quicker than for the LR? I've got a 2020 model, a mere 1,800 miles, white interior, no FSD, and Carvana is offering only $48.3K. I paid $59.5K before taxes, registration and title, so a $10K hit.

What an absolute SNAFU by both the city and Tesla. The least Tesla could have done was to honor your contract price given the inconvenience and stress this must have caused you. A trillion dollar company should have a proper customer service department.

This is interesting. Either it will allow for more energy generation to justify the higher current pricing, or it will allow the same amount of energy to be generated at a lower price point due to fewer solar tiles being used. Or will they maintain the higher price for lower total energy output...
