    Wheel alignment / tire wear

I do not believe it is the responsibility of any consumer to need to purchase aftermarket equipment for mass produced cars in order for it to work correctly. That is the responsibility of the manufacturer.

    Wheel alignment / tire wear

See how deep the tread is on the outside/middle of the tire and the wear on the inside - both rear tires were the same way and the fronts no wear.

    Wheel alignment / tire wear

I also had a set of 21" wheels wear out in 7K miles. Except for 1 or 2 times to see how it felt, I had the car in chill the entire time. On my other cars I would normally get 50-60K range on the tires. Based on discussions above and the service center telling me the rears are not adjustable...

Rural Owner: What Can I Expect From Tesla? Two Hours Away From Closest Service Center

I am very rural (live in the mountains in Colorado). Fortunately, I am only 1 hr away from a Service Center. I have a 22 model S Plaid and have had no issues - even on fit and finish. The service center has treated me very nicely in setting up appointments. I have been there 2 times. The first...

    Jack Mode and tire replacement

Most big name tire shops are aware of what is needed. I always sit in the car and drive it into the bay. I set the Jack mode and also remind the workers to use the pads on the jack points. They should have a set of pads. If they do not, I always carry a set in the car.

Anyone interested in the Tesla Service Manual in PDF?

I have tried it on several of the manuals. It does not work at all on the 2021+ Plaid. When done on the standard model S, it sort of works in it traverses the document. Does not go down in order but seems to jump around the document. In addition, the images are not downloaded. It also seems...

    Energy Line

It has been there since I got my car. Way too small to be really useful - need to focus to see it.

help with finding correct part - seat buckle receiver

If you are going to replace it, why not just take it off and clean in dishwasher or some other way? Then test to see if it is sticky.

    Flat tire Nightmare

For all my cars, I have a separate set of wheels/tires for winter. This way, if I have an issue with a wheel, I can temporarily swap to the other set whether it is summer/winter. Of course, in winter, I may swap just to get the replacement but do not drive the car. Since you are in Wisconsin...

2018 MS 100D No Warranty: Mistake?

Buying used is not necessarily a bad thing. In fact, it can be quite cost effective. People sell cars for many reasons. We see in the forum that people are complaining about drive systems going out, batteries going bad, etc. But what is not clear is what percentage of the number of that...

Strange issues following software updates ( you know the update had something to do with the problem)

It is obvious, all the electronics go through the rubber on the Tesla tires (I know - weird routing but ensures there are no shorts in the tunneling). When you change the tire size, it re-aligns the electrical tunnels- thereby re-establishing your services:D:D
