Tesla Light Show: Custom Show Creation

You could reach out to the actual author and ask him if he is willing to share the audio file with you or point you in the right direction where to obtain it. His twitter handle is (at)bbalding

Tesla Light Show: Custom Show Creation

On that web site there are only the sequence files (for example, the first one contains a file "Donauwalzer - Emanuel Huber.fseq"). When you download that file you rename it to "lightshow.fseq" but you still need the audio file. An easy way to find those audio files is to use your favorite...

What do you do for WiFi if you live in a condo?

The MAC address spoofing to get around the capture portal is usually a one-time thing to do - depending on the "lease" time. Often the lease time in those settings are 24 hours or more and if the car connects to the network before the time runs out it will not get a new capture portal. I did...

    Light show sequences

You are limited to a total of 681 commands, regardless of the length of the show. A show lasting 5 minutes has 300 seconds which means you get 2.27 commands per second on average for that 5-minute show. The validator can't change that. Interesting however is that you say your show uses 99%...

Tesla Light Show: Custom Show Creation

Currently you can only have one "active" show on your USB stick. That is because the car simply looks for a single folder named "LightShow" and in that folder it looks for a sequence file named "lightshow.fseq" and single audio file named "lightshow.*" in EITHER a MP3 or WAV format. It is...

Tesla Light Show: Custom Show Creation

Correct, the "dance" positions are pre-defined and you can't change them. However, you can combine "OPEN", "STOP", and "CLOSE" commands to create your own "dance". WARNING: "dance" (or the above mentioned "workaround") causes thermal stress and parts may overheat (and stop working)

Tesla Light Show: Custom Show Creation

Here's my 3rd custom light show - to the music of TSO's "Wizards In Winter": The original song is 3 minutes long and when I started the project I was hoping to make it work (since Tesla limits the length of a show to 5 minutes). However, as I mentioned in another post, the length of the show...

    Snippiness 2.0

The light show doesn't even work while driving the car. So to that point what you are talking about doesn't even exist. So why bother complaining about something that doesn't exit? And for when the car is parked this is a really cool feature.

Tesla Light Show: Custom Show Creation

Thanks @TeslaBC team for a really cool feature. Here's my first home-made show for our M3: I assume the feature works based on the least powerful MCU hardware. If that is the case, it is holding back many people. The 5 minutes limitation for a show seems more theoretical to me because you...

    Light show sequences

Given the very limited resources, it seems to be unlikely to do a show lasting the full 5 minutes Tesla allows (in theory). My "Wizards In Winter" show has a sequence lasting 3 seconds and eating away more than 15% of the resources. That being said, synchronizing multiple Teslas seems to be the...
