It wasn’t. I had to specifically request for the Fast Charge safety check as well, in order for them to re-enable SC access. HV battery check was £792 The rest must have been the Fast charge check and taxes. I think what helped was I managed to talk to the technician before he started work...

Passed. 🤯 £1,126 total for HV and Fast Charge check. Will have SC reenabled by the end of the week.

I’ve got my HV Battery check and Supercharge check appointment tomorrow. Any suggestions on what to look out for, what to expect etc? But nervous since it’s potentially £800 just for them to fail it and be no better off. No visible damage to the underside of my car. Driven 22,000 miles since...

Salvage cars: Tesla permanently disabling SC from supercharger

I just got a response from Tesla and they’re gonna add the Supercharger check to the same HV check appointment , so fingers crossed everything comes back okay.

Salvage cars: Tesla permanently disabling SC from supercharger

Yeah I’ve got CCS2 out here but the SC network is far superior to the third party options and if it’s only an extra few hundred on top of the HV check it makes sense to get it done!

Any ideas how much that SC inspection is? And can I have both checks done at once or do they need to be separate? The HV is costing me £792 🥹

Salvage cars: Tesla permanently disabling SC from supercharger

I’ve got my HV Battery check in a couple weeks. No visible damage to the underside of the car but you never know I guess…cost me £792. Im mainly doing it so that my vehicle is supported and I can get Tesla to do repair work on the car in future, but am I right in thinking that they will also...

Do you see any risk with going ahead with it? I’ve always worried that due to Teslas overall stance on salvage cars that I’d hand them my car and never see it drive again! Also, how long is the turnaround time once I drop it off to them? At £800 I might be tempted if it means I can get back on...

Just asked my local Tesla Service Centre how much it will cost me to get my Tesla Model 3 from “unsupported” to “supported” and they have come back saying: We can carry out a check to bring the vehicle back to being “supported” The cost usually costs around £792 If you would like this, then...

    Model 3 aluminium plates

Thank you! Where did you get your aluminium plates? Seems a lot of online retailers are out of stock at the moment. I’m also not looking for the beveled character style, which some places appear to do as standard with the aluminium plates. Any tips on how you approached bending the plate, or...

    Model 3 aluminium plates

Sorry this might be a silly question but I haven’t got the original plates in front of me. Are the original plates aluminium or acrylic? Wondering if I can achieve your suggestion with the existing plates. I’m ideally trying to achieve the flush effect you get with vinyl.

    Model 3 aluminium plates

Out of curiosity, what is it about the edge of the plate not being smooth? Getting caught on something or does it just not look right?

    Model 3 aluminium plates

Has anyone managed to put a metal pressed (is that the right term) numberplate on their M3 without the brackets? I passed a Model Y the other day that appeared to have this, and it looked great, no brackets and definitely a metal plate. I currently have vinyls and…well the edges are peeling...

Salvage cars: Tesla permanently disabling SC from supercharger

CCS1 or CCS2? I’m based in UK so have always used CCS2 anyway, and I’m blocked from using SC via a CCS2 connector (haven’t tried the other connector that comes on SC chargers, assume it’s CCS1? How does it differ?) Is there something I’m missing?

Salvage cars: Tesla permanently disabling SC from supercharger

Same. 2020 M3P here and keen to use SC network again. When I got the car back on the road in January I was supercharging al the time with no issues, until end of August when it suddenly got disabled. I still don’t know what triggered it. Does anyone have details on exactly how it gets disabled...
