Opened them up and decided the Versamat would work if it's only used by one person sleeping. I think the rollout lounger fits in the space better. Will try to find something to prop up the area behind the front seats. A few pics of the fit below. The last pic is with an older camping sleeping...

I guess it's a personal preference. The weight is around 45lbs for the full kit, so 25-33% the weight of another passenger, isn't really anything crazy. For the longer trips like camping, I'll have it with me, just another piece of gear that's brought along. As far as run flats, I had a bmw x4...

Good points, definitely agree but that's the conundrum that tips the scale for me. I like taking road trips and the thought of delaying by several hours hoping there is a spare available is just painful. Throwing on a spare and getting to wherever I need to makes this worth the cost and weight.

Yea, definitely gets pricey, this just happened to work out so well since a group of us all have them and were taking a trip together in the tesla. It was my first road trip with it, proved perfect for 5 people, these coolers, beach chairs, umbrellas and other random beach things!

The Versamat is thicker and firmer, but does not fill the width fully and doesn't take up too much trunk space standing up...

These cooler backpacks from LifeProof were groomsmen gifts, just did a trip to the beach and learned that 3 of them fit perfectly inside the Model Y frunk! Found the cooler on amazon...
