Default home screen rear camera instead of navigation screen.

Would anyone out there prefer to have the rear camera be the default home screen instead of navigation screen? Or better yet, have a setting to choose one or the other? I use my rear camera more than my rear view mirror in my Model 3. By the way, does Tesla have an on line suggestion box?

My Tesla buying/servicing/after sale support experience

My M3 has it's first birthday next month. It's a thrill to get in it everyday (not hyperbole; just is!). Had a few minor issues, all handled very well. No build quality issues. I feel lucky though after reading about others having problems. Getting updates is like getting a new car almost every...

Warning!!! Model 3 will make you immature (again)

I'm 67 and I shut down Mustangs and Chargers on a regular basis (and my Model 3 is a single motor!).

MASTER THREAD: all Smart Summon-related posts go here

I live in Florida, so except for rain the weather doesn't justify Smart Summons use if you are fully ambulatory. But I suspect that for those who live far enough North and the bite of freezing weather is nasty enough, we will see a lot more usage. I get best results by testing for the best...

Thanks, DopeGhoti! This will be helpful next time I use Smart Summons, which is almost every day.

V10 Best UI feature, rendered useless within seconds.

About the bug report function, I talked to a Tesla tech who explained to me that the bug report basically just sets a flag in the data stream so that if you have a recurring technical problem it makes it easier for a technician to precisely locate the time and date of the occurrence. I don't...

MASTER THREAD: all Smart Summon-related posts go here

I find that Smart Summons is limited by the accuracy of my iPhone location services accuracy, which is poor and can be off by as much as 30 yards. I find it helpful to release the come-to-me button and re-initiate the "call" when the car is confused.

MASTER THREAD: all Smart Summon-related posts go here

I have tested my M3 smart summons in a wide variety of circumstances. Never a close call with my Tesla hitting any one or anything. One time an unobservant person got close to backing in to my M3 on smart summons, but that would have happened even if I was in the car. My experience is my M3...

MASTER THREAD: all Smart Summon-related posts go here

I stuck a plastic skeleton in the drivers seat and sent my M3 past the mall entrance with "Go to Target". Should have recorded the freak-outs!

    No-Confirmation Lane Change Turns Off?

Yes, I experience the same issue. While traveling in "Navigate on Autopilot", with "Require Lane Change Confirmation" turned OFF, the setting will change to ON inexplicably. This happens in the middle of the drive. Initially lane changes will occur automatically, but will revert to lane changes...

What's the most surprising thing you've found once you got your Tesla?

Surprised and pleased that every time I leave my driveway in my Model 3 I have the sensation of floating down the road in my "hover car".

Autopilot Called Out in NTSB Report on Tesla Crash into Fire Truck

Telsa's "detection" methods are not "flawed"; they are in development, and will always be. That is the case with all viable software products and all always have bugs. As others so frequently state, Tesla never states or implies that you can sleep at the wheel (literally or figuratively). So...

Autopilot Called Out in NTSB Report on Tesla Crash into Fire Truck

My 2019 Model 3 has detected issues ahead of the car in front of me and Autopilot responded appropriately even before I understood why. So, even though I am very pleased with its capabilities, I am STILL always attentive to traffic conditions. Unfortunately, the media loves the drama and...
