Phantom Braking getting worse - any ideas on how to stop it?

Thanks, DrGruz….I read through them after I had posted. It seems my experiences are similar to many others. It also appears that a solution could be to always have the car follow somebody, in other words don’t have it driving with a wide open road in front of it where could get confused. I will...

Phantom Braking getting worse - any ideas on how to stop it?

I drove from Spokane to Seattle and back this weekend. One hard phantom brake headed west and two hard phantom braking events headed east. All three occurred on the highway between Ellensburg and Moses Lake in the early to mid afternoon. There were heat mirages on the road when I was headed...

    Supercharger Ice-ing in Butte, Montana

Driving home yesterday (5/14/23) I stopped at the supercharger in Butte, Montana and gas pickups were occupying two of the stalls. Totally a political statement as there were lots of open parking places all around. Attached are photos of the pickups….perhaps they are your neighbors….

The rear hatch metal part on the side was a little crooked near the top hinge and the center of the hatch glass protruded up above the roof glass panel just like yours. The rest of the hatch was perfectly aligned...

Acceptable roof to rear glass gap height

I am anticipating delivery of a MY in the next couple of months and was wondering about the pre-acceptance inspection and what is considered acceptable. Just now I was at my local service center and was reviewing panel gaps and specifically the elevation of the glass sections across the gap of...

    2022 Model Y Initial Impressions

Question on the lack of blind spot monitoring: there is no flashing warning light in the side mirror but there is warning indication on the screen, a camera image showing what’s in the blind spot, a warning chime and the car physically preventing you from changing lanes. How is a light on the...
