Moisture condensation in taillights, fog lights, etc

If it's "normal" then it should not cause your body control module (BCM) to overload and require a reset. That's what happened to me - I had had condensation for years and Tesla didn't replace the tail light assembly because it was "normal". Eventually, it caused a trip in the BCM that...

Superchargers.io is an open source GraphQL API for finding Tesla Superchargers, destination chargers

It appears that superchargers.io is dead. Has it been officially killed?

Email update from Tesla March 2017

I test drove a $40K Bolt the other day. It has to be better than that - which is frankly a pretty low bar for Tesla. I can't imagine the interior design team will put up with anything approaching the abomination that is the 1986 boom-box interior of the Bolt.

    Miles on Delivered New Tesla

Mine had 23 in 2013. I think they tested them more at the factory back then - so a new MX should have way less than 50. 500 is an order of magnitude too many.

Recommendation for Auto Body Shops (Florida)

Since this thread is still alive 2 years later, I want to reiterate my recommendation of Superior Auto Body in Pinellas Park. They did about $4500 worth of work on my hood, nosecone and headlight lens and it came out perfect. The owner, Ron Vallario, is ex-special forces and doesn't take...

Cracks Form in the Tesla Story as Germans Assemble Luxury EV Assault

The same thing that happened to the smart phone market is going to happen in the car market, only in slow motion. Right now, Tesla is Apple, who just introduced the iPhone. At the time, there was nothing like it, and all of the competitors were frantically and quietly either building "iPhone...

Loud high pitch whine only when NOT accelerating

Mine just started doing this after about 14k miles. It is an electrical sounding buzz or whine, sounds like it is coming from the inverter. It is a static-y sound like a high voltage grid transformer makes under some load, which is pretty much what the inverter is. It happens when I lightly...

TPA to LAS and and back in my Model S

It's not about the distance. This is a unique time in history when the following conditions are all true: 1) I have an excuse to go to Vegas (a conference) 2) I've always wanted to see Mt. Rushmore, but never had a shadow of an excuse. 3) I have an excuse to go to DC 4) I have never driven...

Sounds like fun. It's blocked off in my calendar - looking forward to meeting fellow Teslateers.

TPA to LAS and and back in my Model S

I'm planning to drive my Model S from Tampa to Las Vegas for a conference using the supercharger network. I'll be gone from February 22, 2014 to about March 15th. I figure it will be 8 days out and 8 days back because I have to go up the Eastern seaboard and across the northern plains, then...

Recommendation for Auto Body Shops (Florida)

I've used Superior Auto Body in Pinellas Park for insurance and non insurance work. The owner Ron Vallario handles a lot of high end cars, and has certified aluminum techs. Reasonable time frames, excellent work and fanatical devotion to his product. Just don't expect deep discounts. Worth...
