Using ChargePoint recharge stations in Australia

The one I have (you see in the photos) is exactly the same one from jpson.com, only my cable is 2.5M long. I am not sure of the length of the cable shown in jpson.com.

Using ChargePoint recharge stations in Australia

Guys, don't reinvent the wheel. The product is already there. We have tested here in HK, its working fine. Jakevanle, if you are interested, send me a PM, I might be able to help you by sending a sample for you to test.

Those of you who don't get charging facility at home, how do you charge your Tesla?

I think you have to try hard to find a way to install the wall connector at home. Charge at home is the best way in the long run, drive away every morning with a "full tank" and not to worry about recharging. Your parking is not covered should not make installation impossible. I think Tesla's...

    Wall connector shipment

A Tesla wall connector would somehow recognize if it is pluged into a Tesla or not. It won't charge any other EV except Tesla's Model S (Model X in the future of course), even the Mennekes plug is compatible, you won't get any current flowing into that EV.

    My CO2 emission

I wish I could. It is not so easy in Hong Kong. It is already difficult for a lot of people (I'm one of the more lucky ones) to install a simple, small Tesla wall unit, not to mention a solar panel. It is almost impossible. But I hope this will slowly change and eventually we can freely...

    My CO2 emission

As far as I can remember, not very long, around 1 or 2 weeks or so (it didn't matter anyway because I didn't have the car back then). EV Power installed the wiring for me, so they did the application as well from HK Electric. I am lucky that our management office and owner committee had been...

    My CO2 emission

Thanks for clarifying. I was always under the impression that EV saves a lot more than ICEs. Elon Musk said somewhere before that a power plant is much more efficient than individual ICE exhaust. But turn out my model S still produces 200+g CO2/km. And to me, it doesn't make a lot of...

    My CO2 emission

Do you know CLP's CO2 emission per unit of electricity consumed = ??

    My CO2 emission

Just received my first bill from HK Electric. Out of curiosity, I checked that I consumed 522 units (I am not quite sure what unit that is) for which I have to pay HK$574.79. There is a remark at the bottom of the statement that reads "CO2 emission per unit of electricity consumed = 0.78kg"...

e-Tag placement in Aust delivered cars

Yes, Mark E, please try to have Tesla to install the tag behind the front nose cone for you. It works perfect in HK and I can't think of a reason why shouldn't it work in your place. This is something an ICE car cannot do!

Hong Kong Tesla Model S Charging Standard

EddieY, with the cable ( SAE J1772 (Type 1) to IEC 62196-2(Type 2) Extension Cord 32A for EV Charging in Type 2 Connector Cable), do you get 16A or 32A charged into your Tesla?? Does your Tesla have Dual Charger??

    Tighten Seat Belt

Anyone noticed that whenever you do hard acceleration, the seat belt will automatically tighten up? Before it was like every once in a while, the seat belt will be so tight that I can't even lean a little forward, I didn't know why. Just today that I noticed it happens every time after a hard...

Hong Kong Tesla Model S Charging Standard

Thank you Mark for your clarification. I was hoping this is not the case. Because this would mean, there is no medium public charging for people like me (owning a Tesla with no on board dual charger). All the public chargers (except those SC of Tesla) out there are either 13A or 16A, which...

Hong Kong Tesla Model S Charging Standard

AppleFan, do you mean if we go to any IEC62196 connector with our Tesla in HK(installed by EV power or CLP or whoever), we get only 16A instead of 32A?? Is it really so and is there any particular reason for that??
