Mustang Mach E? What will I forgo?

I would not comment in this forum if I did not own MY and Volt :) We indeed will see what future will bring and if not the Ford somebody else will make a good EV. Tesla needs to improve their QC (a bit better now), service (really did not like the SC in Austin), and their customer support in...

Mustang Mach E? What will I forgo?

100% agree with you - I did this for myself, based on my preferences. By no means it represent any objective comparison. I published the original spreadsheet, so everyone can adjust the points based on his/her preferences. However, in my personal case, you can see that there 2 cars come pretty...

Mustang Mach E? What will I forgo?

This is ok. Everyone may have their own preferences, and it is perfectly fine. I do not want to think about charging stops on my long trip, neither I want to swear without ventilated seats in Texas. I do not care about paying for gas. I am using EV for fun, I like the way it drives. Not to save...

Mustang Mach E? What will I forgo?

New X5 (or X7) is amazing for long trips :) No EV is coming even close.

Mustang Mach E? What will I forgo?

Not precise - $2000 for any EV other than Tesla - Light-Duty Motor Vehicle Purchase or Lease Incentive Program - TCEQ - www.tceq.texas.gov I was wrong about 2500 - it is 2K only

Mustang Mach E? What will I forgo?

Lucid is my bet for the future EV. I want a luxury EV car - leather, ventilated seats, etc. I do not like the current Tesla seats, (MME a bit better, at least you can adjust headrest).

Mustang Mach E? What will I forgo?

Yes, it will chime when you actually going to crash. I prefer to get a normal blind point detection/notification system. As any other vehicle does and it proved to be very efficient.

Mustang Mach E? What will I forgo?

Nope, but I am familiar with Israeli Mobileye (now Intel). Plus I only rely on information that was provided by Ford and from my experience with testing similar ford systems by myself. I was using Tesla Autopilot for a while and pretty familiar with it. I think it is better than other systems in...

Mustang Mach E? What will I forgo?

Agree. X7 is a way better car that any Tesla or other EV for long trips, it is not even subjective IMHO :) Well, we can debate on some of these features, we can talk about missing blind spot detection for Tesla, etc. One thing I do want to mention - Tesla Autopilot is the same as the build-in...

Almost 15% range loss Model 3 Awd

That is why you have "real world" range youtube movies :) MY is getting about 250-270 real-world miles on 100% charge. 80% charge - - 210-215 miles. This is the real day to day range. M3 is a bit better. I agree that Tesla somehow tricks EPA testing. Kona EPA matches real-world tests for...

Mustang Mach E? What will I forgo?

Right, but you mentioned that home charging will cost much more. So IMHO home charging is not an issue (10$ more per month anyone can handle). The problem indeed exists for long trips, BUT - we do not know what agreement Ford will sign and what the price will be. So it is pure speculation for now.

Mustang Mach E? What will I forgo?

100% correct, and this is one of the biggest issues for now. However - I have a good ICE car, which is a WAY better than any EV, including any Tesla. I use it for long trips and I "recharge" 400miles in 4 minutes. And it has ventilated seats, all "autopilot" features, air suspension, etc.

Mustang Mach E? What will I forgo?

Actually it is better to wait How come? it is only 25% less efficient than Tesla !? Why 3 times more?

Mustang Mach E? What will I forgo?

Way more you mean $10 per month?

Mustang Mach E? What will I forgo?

The cost is not known - Ford may sign a discount agreement. As for speed - Tesla wins, no question here.
