FSD 12.3.3 first drive - safe, super boring

I got a chance to test drive V12.3.3 a bit today and experienced much of what the OP did. It tends to over-brake on the approach to stop signs and traffic lights causing it to stop 1-2 car lengths short. Then it creeps forward to stop line. I hope that's just an over-cautious setting that can...

how safe do you feel with basic autopilot?

Tl;dr. On version 2023.26.7: No phantom braking in 525 miles. No panic braking for traffic crossing its path. Better acceleration getting back up to speed after traffic slowdowns. On software 2023.26.7, I just had the most impressive basic autopilot road trip that I’ve ever experienced. I’m...

Tesla's reason for not adding spare tires, doesn't make sense.

The OEM tires on my MYLR have a foam liner glued to the interior circumference of the tire to help reduce road noise. It's not a puncture sealant. It has not interfered with me plugging the tire. It does have to be removed/replaced when patching the tire, but places like Discount Tire have...

    Still on 2023.2.12...

So I guess it is true that you just need to post to this thread to force your update 😜🙃

    Still on 2023.2.12...

I'm thinking of starting a support group called "Forever 2.12". Who needs those bug fixes and those larger fonts!? Not us! No way! My car is *perfect* the way it is

App to start the car expired

Ensure that bluetooth is enabled on your phone. (The Tesla app usually nags you if bluetooth is off.) Make sure you are running the latest version of the Tesla app. If so, then force quit and restart it on your phone. If it's still not behaving, then restart your phone. The key fob is still...

Cannot use autopilot for more than 15-30 minutes

When I use 2 hands on the wheel, I tend to zero out the torque that AP is looking for. Now I just hang my left hand at the bottom of the wheel and I can drive without any nagging for as long as I need to. You can also roll the left or right scroll wheel up and back down to satisfy the...

    Apple music losing login

Happened to me for the first time today. I had to log out of Apple Music and re-authenticate. Interestingly, my iMac needed me to reauthenticate to iCloud as well today. I figured either some session or encryption keys expired. I’m okay with that if it’s only once a month or so.

People parking next to me while charging

When you said idiots charging, I thought it was something like this... I suppose it's possible that they've never seen a "head-in" supercharger. And yes, they are blocking the driving lane. Fortunately this is not a busy parking lot.

What features do you wish the Model Y came with (Dec 2022/Jan 2023) Wishlist

When approaching a SC station, I would like to have the car use autopark to put me in a stall. I'm perfectly capable of doing it myself of course, but I envision it something like in SciFi when a space ship is approaching a space dock, the space dock takes over control and guides it in.

    Homelink issue after 2022.44.25.1 update

Yeah, I’m not a fan of the top bar design with its 100% transparent background.

How do I tune to FM HD channels

I clicked on the Stations tab and waited for it to populate my local stations. The HD stations showed up eventually and I was able to select them. I could not see a way to directly tune an HD station, however.

    Homelink issue after 2022.44.25.1 update

Do you not have the "Activate" button at the top of the screen? This car is on 2022.44.25.2.

Unable to play music in Apple music

Funny, I have the opposite problem. Apple Music won't *stop* playing. Well, really what I mean is that Apple music is not respecting the Play/Pause state of its player between drives. When I get in the car it starts playing immediately even if I left the song paused before I got out last...

L.A. to Solvang 200 mile using autopilot

I did some testing on the highway yesterday and got the same result as you. :) Autosteer would not disengage when I indicated a lane change but was not holding the steering wheel. So for the last year, I thought the car was releasing autosteer, when apparently it was just reducing to almost...
