Australian Model 3 Highland experiences, tips, tricks

Amazing. Mine feels like it’s coming from lower back, but to be honest it could be anywhere in the seat and as it’s intermittent it’s hard to pin down. I am going to give this a look. Seat back seems to only be hooked on by a few straps at the bottom. I’ll report back.

Thanks for the input! What model/year do you have?

Australian Model 3 Highland experiences, tips, tricks

Had my clunky drivers seat looked at on Tuesday at Chatswood, couldn't solve the issue. Feels like something swinging around when coming to a stop or taking off from a stop. I can't find anything loose, and they reckon they pulled it out and tightened it all back up. Still happening...anyone...

So, booked in for service today. Had the car 4 weeks, done 3,000km. Drivers seat is moving both forward and back and side to side about 1-3mm. Getting worse each and every drive. Lots of 3-4 year old threads about this issue but apparently it was solved with larger bore bolts. Apparently not...

Following on from my earlier comments around strange battery/range issues in Tessie, I’m wondering if anyone else here is using Tessie in their long range? If so, what km range is shown when you slide the slider to 100%? I still can’t make sense of the readings or figure out why they are so...

Anyone managed to update their UMC on 2024.2.7? I had no problem doing this in the old car after the first charge but nothing I try this time seems to work. A msg pops up bottom right of screen saying charge controller update in progress, but nothing seems to happen.

Not sure if exact versions as sold the old one two weeks ago. However I swear the “typical” line in the consumption graph is now higher than the old car. Looks like it’s around the 152-153 mark. If this has indeed changed then it would perfectly align with the new “maximum” range...

Oh I agree, I’m not worried about the actual battery or range, more curious as to the massive discrepancy between two cars that have the same battery. My old LR (Jan 2022 model) showed 571km at 100%. This one shows 493km. As mentioned the actual range available in real life appears almost...

Inside the app it had both max range and “real world range”. My old car the max range was basically the battery capacity divided by the average consumption advertised. Eg. 78.5kWh battery divide by average consumption of 14kW/100mh About 560. This match the range shown on the centre screen...

Finally picked up my LR. Interestingly, the range estimate both on screen and in the Tessie app is significantly lower than my old car, and according to the Tessie average already showing 0.7% degradation. Tessie on my old car when set to 100% would show 571km. This car shows 493km...

Total non issue. Simply plug the car in, set it at whatever percentage and leave it connected until its complete and then overnight. Car must be connected to wifi. It will update the charger and then it will be good for 10 amps and 15 amps.

In my experience, 100% waterproof. I store the UMC in there permanently as I have a Wall Connector at home. I also have used it for all sorts of bits and bobs over the last 2 years. Duffel bags, groceries, kids soccer balls. Have not had 1 drop of water that I am aware of. I have a frunk liner...

This is more true now that the UMC isn't included. When I got my LR we got it included, so I simply bought an adapter exactly as Dronus described. It is a 5 pin plug but only has 1 active. Charges at about 7kw. I bought it from EVSE I think from memory. However, now that you have to buy the...
