Continental tires come with no warranty on new Teslas

Michelin has the exact same policy. Original equipment tires are excluded form warranty. It is odd as I can replace with the exact same tire and I have a warranty, but if I bought my vehicle with them then no warranty.

Performance vs not in a new Y

I went performance after initially ordering a long range. I have zero regrets doing so. Ride is better than most act (better than my BMW with runflats and silverado trailboss), range is not that much different than LR with 20s, it is more unique on the road and looks better, and it brings a...

What's your Wh/mi and how do you do it? Any tips?

The MYP is too much fun to live at 250ish. You must be much more disciplined than I am with your speeds and drive in chill mode?

    Model Y Standard v Performance

I originally had a long range reserved and switched to a performance. I would not have it any other way now. Based on how it looks and the smile it brings to your face to drive I am glad I went with it. Ride is a little more firm, but worlds better than my previous BMW 335 with runflats or...

    Trade in Pic requests

This is odd you have so many requests as I never submitted a photo other than odometer and title on a 2019 Silverado. No exterior or interior photos at all. Cleaned it all up nice in preparation then they only needed those two photos.

Tax credit 2023 [The tax credit discussion thread]

This is surprising as everything I have read and been told by tax accountants is that "The credit is nonrefundable; it can lower your tax bill to zero, but it won’t result in a refund."

650 miles on my Model Y with the 4680 battery.

Also remember if you are often checking in on the app I believes it wakes up the car which uses energy as well. For a drive as short as yours I would just get a mobile connector and plug into a normal outlet. This will get that many miles back in a few hours.

    myQ Connected Garage

Do we know if this carries over to future vehicles based on my login? I assume it has to.

What's your Wh/mi and how do you do it? Any tips?

MYP- I don't worry about it too much daily as it is too fun to drive it like a race car. On long highway stretches I get about 270-280 at 75ish getting closer to 80 pushes be closer to 295.

    myQ Connected Garage

I wish it was free, but I will pay for it. $45 a year for the convenience is worth it to me. The only downside is when you forget you have auto close on and get out of the car in the driveway to run back in and your door is closed.

MYP - stay or down-size from 21" from the start?

I just took delivery of my MYP last week so no comment on tire wear, but I have no issues with ride comfort. Suspension is stiff, but much more comfortable than my BMW or Silverado trail boss. Even my wife commented that it is comfortable and she was not a fan of my BMW with run flats.

Waiting Room for MYLR/MYP: July 2023 Orders

Picked mine up. Hw4 and matrix. Only issues at pickup is one small paint imperfection. Mine was in assembly when I switched so someone must have canceled an order. Also zero regrets upgrading to performance.

Tax credit 2023 [The tax credit discussion thread]

My understanding is that you are correct. It is not a deduction but rather reduces your overall tax liability by 7500.
