Refreshed Model S - rear seat rattle

I have the rattle too. When I lay the back seat flat, it goes away. So clearly it’s the latch. A thought I had. Instead of tape on the ‘u’ bolt, what about heat shrink tubing? It’s rubber so I assume a bit more resistant? Thoughts?

FSD still has to be requested?

Looks like Beta is now mainstream. Woke up to a software update notification. 2023.12.10. Plus it has all the previous non Beta enhancements. What’s funny is that I got out of the queue last Saturday thinking it would be too long before they reopened the Beta and wanting to try my luck at just...

FSD still has to be requested?

There is also thew ability to control the passager seat from the rear screen, the car controls showing up on the Home Screen and auto heated steering wheel (though arguably not super needed in the coming months).

FSD still has to be requested?

I've definitely paid for it. By queue I meant the option in the car's UI to be in line to receive the beta. I'm debating getting off of it to enjoy the benefits of the more current firmware updates if it is going to be a while anyway before I get the beta.

FSD still has to be requested?

    K. Tx. Based on your experience, have people in the queue received non Beta firmware updates?

FSD still has to be requested?

Thanks for the clarifications. I'm on 2023.2.10. Should I get off the Beta queue to get a more current firmware version until they reopen Beta or am I likely to receive a more current non Beta firmware version regardless of being in the queue or not?

FSD still has to be requested?

Yes, it will but in the meantime, when you've paid that much for something, you kinda expect something out of it. Beta would suffice for me but I don't even have that. And what's frustrating is that I had it on the Tesla I traded in!

FSD still has to be requested?

I bought FSD right after delivery, the day of (as I wanted to pay for it separately). That was 3 months ago. Still have not been enrolled but that's likely explained by the fact the car had a more current software version out of the gate than FSD. That said, I really wish they'd find a better...

FSD still has to be requested?

I got my car in February and it’s had 2023.2.10 ever since. Pretty old Firmware. I figured it was because FSD was attached to an earlier firmware version. I see 2023.7.5 is out and has the latest FSD beta build. Yet, I still haven’t received FSD. Before you ask, I did purchase the option and...

    Software Update??

I’m in the same boat. 2023 Model S LR. Got it late Feb. Still on 2023.2.10. Booked an appointment for this Via the app. Service Center replied via the app and said my car was on the latest firmware version available for the VIN. Appointment got cancelled. From a customer experience standpoint...

    2023 Model S LR - FSD

Hmmm… I imagine it’s not always the case. I got a firmware update a few minutes after being handed the keys to my new Model S. And it was one of the latest firmware versions at the time. But now I seem to be on a diet. Been a month and a few firmware versions have passed me and I still have not...

    2023 Model S LR - FSD

Curious if anything came of your service request. Traded in my 2017 X for a 2023 MSLR about a month ago. Got upgraded to 20123.2.10 at pickup. I then purchased FSD (wanted it paid on my credit card) but I've been waiting in line since. So, I'm in the same boat. Anyone has any idea if/how more...

20" Sonic Carbon Wheels. Montreal Area.

Hey all. For anyone in or around Montreal, Quebec, I'm parting with my 20" Sonic Carbon Wheels for a Model X I just traded in. The wheels are in pristine conditions. Back tires were changed last year (roughly 3000 kms on them) and the front in 2019 (roughly 35000 kms on them). They are...

    Bosal Hitch Adapter Loosening

I do not believe Tesla changed the Bosal hitch receiver in these model years. Theoretically, it should be fine with your tongue weight and no weight distribution. That said, I put in a DrawTite hitch receiver when I towed with the Model X. Now I was much closer to the tongue weight limit than...

To buy or not to buy

Inventory 2023 Model S LR picked up Saturday. X traded in. If I ever have remorse Wednesday, I’ll remind myself of all the money I saved. ;-) Btw, build seems pretty tight. Have not yet encountered initial quality issues. Coming from a 2017, I’m appreciating the upgraded interior, screens...
