This is what doesn’t make any sense. They keep telling me that the car needs a firmware update that hasn’t been released yet. Either the firmware has been released or it hasn’t. If it hasn’t been released, how are some people still getting deliveries?

Tesla cancelled my delivery appointment scheduled for Friday and told me I’d need to reschedule after the weekend. The app now states that my order will be cancelled as a hold is not available?
My delivery was scheduled for tomorrow in Carlsbad, CA. They cancelled the appointment and stated that "all S/X models need further inspection" and I cannot reschedule the appointment until after this weekend.
It’s hard to understand why they are still building 2023’s this late in the year. They don‘t link any changes to model year, why not switch the VINs from P to R to remove the incentive for people to place orders on hold?
