    battery drain airport parking

I'm on my second 3 week business trip out of country. Last time, all I had to do was turn off Sentry mode and cabin overheat protection. The car lasts a very long time in sleep mode. On my first 3 week trip, I lost maybe 3-4% battery percent. I supercharged right before I parked it because I...

Any Recommendations for Hitch Tow Cargo?

I bought a used one of these on facebook marketplace for $200: StowAway Cargo Carriers - Versatility in Action. Works well, but I haven't tried it with a supercharger yet.

Am I crazy? Model Y without home charger...

I personally wouldn't own an EV without a home charger. Supercharging all your trips will hurt your battery life expectancy, and it's not cheaper to supercharge than gasoline.

    iPhone 15 & New Update

I've had the iPhone 15 Pro Max since it came out and and my Model Y since mid last year. I don't have any issues other than the first time it tried to sync. It was trying to sync all my contacts and things like that over bluetooth which ate up all the bluetooth bandwidth. I had to wait a...

    From Y to Audi e-tron: a Comparison

Hopefully this should not have been a surprise when purchasing your Y. If you watch any of the Investor day speeches or Battery day speeches, lowering the price of Tesla's has been a top priority since before the Model S launched. It's been a stated goal to bring EV's into mass adoption and...

Replacing the headrest in the model 3/S-Maybe this helps someone

I designed and 3d printed extensions to hold the backplate in place. I installed a headrest tablet mount which raised my headrest a few inches, so I needed to extend the bars so the backplate wouldn't fall back.

    Drill Front License Plate

That's pretty dumb of your state. Vehicles still need to have good steering, brakes, suspension, working lights and most importantly tires to operate on the road. All of those parts are fully in common with gasoline vehicles and tires wear out even faster on EVs. My state still has safety...

Charging Port door closes immediately after opening

Holding the steering wheel balls doesn't soft boot the car. It only restarts the infotainment system, including the screen. You can literally do it while your driving down the highway.

Tesla model Y road noise / wind noise Seeking Advice on excessive wind noise!

Get a few free decibel meter apps for your phone and try them out and compare the results. Place the phone in the front and the back of your car and near each door, compare results. Inspect the trunk seal in case they screwed that up. Inspect the window glass on the hatch, perhaps they redid...

    Regen Braking low/standard

It wasn't there 2 weeks ago when it snowed. I can guaruntee you that much. But I can check for software updates when I get home tonight. This would save me from having to buy the S3XY buttons commander. I have a Model Y LR. Unless you're talking about only the newer Model 3 Highland.

Debating the switch to 18 inch wheels from the 20 inch inductions

The only other consideration is towing, if you want the full 3500lbs tow rating, you need to use the 19" model Y rims and tires. Even the upgraded 20's are capable of towing the full 3500lbs. If you don't tow, then there's no need to worry about it. I believe the 18's are 8.5" wide, unlike...

Debating the switch to 18 inch wheels from the 20 inch inductions

I'm swapping to Tsportline 18's, Eagle tires are garbage in the snow. I'll probably start with the Michilin All Season 4's. The main reason I'm going with Tsportline are that the wheels are properly machined for the Tesla hub, no need for any center bore adapters. Most aftermarket rims are...
