    Model X noise poll

Update: Discount Tire offers a 30 day satisfaction guarantee. I replaced the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires today with the OEM spec Pirelli Scorpion Zero All Season, Tesla spec tire with PNCS/Elect (Pirelli Noise Canceling System, Electric vehicle specification). These have the...

If you purchased FSD or EAP after delivery....

FSD isn't worth $1500, much less $15,000. I had it on my Model 3 for $6,000 and I wished I had kept the $$. You are a much better driver than FSD will ever be (at least with this hardware).

    Model X noise poll

I acquired a preowned 2022 Model X LR about 3 weeks ago with 17k miles on it. The OEM Pirelli Scorpions were heavily worn and noisy, so I replaced them with Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4s. These tires are if anything even noisier; I can hear them even when backing out of the driveway...

    Model X: Max Payload

Here you go.... This is a Model X Long Range, 6 seat configuration with 22" wheels. My personal opinion is that this is not really the right vehicle for towing a trailer. You don't have enough payload and your range is going to be awful. But obviously if the numbers work for you, have fun!

Model X shudder--blown off by Tesla service. Advice?

Yes, there is another SC in north Austin I can take it to. I wrote a clear explanation of the problem in the service request on the app, and the tech who rode along with my wife when she dropped it off Friday morning immediately commented "oh yeah, there it is" when she floored it and the...

Model X shudder--blown off by Tesla service. Advice?

It seems the tech assessed my problem as the vibration with the refresh X and S that occurs when the vehicle is cold. But that's not what I'm experiencing. It is a shudder with brisk acceleration, not with light acceleration, occurs at any speed, and is reproducible even if the vehicle has...

Model X shudder--blown off by Tesla service. Advice?

I have recently acquired a 2022 Model X with about 17,000 miles on it. It clearly suffers from the dreaded acceleration shudder. I took it in yesterday for service for this issue, and today received the following on the app: "Verified customer concern with vibration during acceleration...

How I Recovered Half of my Battery's Lost Capacity

Does a Model 3 with an inaccurate range calculation suffer from an actual loss of range? I.e., if my car really has enough battery capacity to drive 290 miles, but the BMS says 270 at 100% SOC, will the car drive 270 or 290 miles, all other things being equal?

    Cost to charge at home?

I am a 19 year Austin Energy customer. To the OP, you have significantly underestimated the cost. Your rate is 7.814+ 3.139+0.154+0.124+0.335+1.252, or 12.818 cents per kWh in the 1000-1500 kWh monthly tier. Source...

Delivered but not without issues with fit and paint

Received my white on white LR AWD 2 days ago. It was raining so the car was pretty filthy when it got to my house. I did my best paint inspection and didn't see anything but obviously may have missed something. Panel gaps looked good and wheels were free of scratches. Interior seemed...

Homelink Garage Door Opening no longer included with Premium Interior Package

Tesla said the car I ordered included it for the price I agreed to pay. That's why I deserve it. A deal's a deal. It's not for free; I'm paying plenty for it.

Buying in Maryland next week and moving to Texas next year

Welcome to Texas (and Austin)! (Almost). I believe you have been given some incorrect responses. All you will owe is $90. I quote from "Application for Texas Title and/or Registration:" New Texas residents are subject to a $90 use tax on a vehicle brought into this state that was...

Awful, Awful Customer Service from Sales / Delivery

My experience so far with a Texas order has been very different. I received a text with a delivery date 3 days after ordering the car, and two days later (yesterday) received an email from the delivery advisor (Alexis, who I believe handles Texas orders much of the time) requesting various...

    LR AWD Waiting Room

Ordered my W/W LR AWD 18" Aero on 5/26, got a text on 5/29 for 6/10 delivery (to Texas), got my VIN on 5/30. If not for the auto dealers association paying off the state legislature to keep Tesla from selling in Texas, I would have my car already.

Homelink Garage Door Opening no longer included with Premium Interior Package

I ordered my Model 3 on 5/26, with the understanding it comes with Homelink. I have and use Homelink on both of my current vehicles every day and I want it and expect it. It's certainly annoying, to put it mildly, to be required to pay an extra $300 after sale on my $60,000 luxury vehicle...
