Single wipe switches on the headlights

jdw, exactly! The on-off-on-off :( And thanks for the "turn off"-tip, I'll do that next time I'm cruising behind other cars on the motorway and need to wipe, without having to appear as if I blink at the car in front of me.

Single wipe switches on the headlights

I sent this to Tesla as a bug but haven't heard back anything else than they would look into whether or not it's on purpose or not. I find it very annoying that my headlights turn on every now and then when driving on the motorway. I've seen more than once that the car in front of me quickly...

    Premium Rear Console

Anyone got other suggestions for limiting how much the lid can open? I'm considering doing the same as below, but I'm just thinking that making screw holes, although the lesser of two evils compared to a broken hinge, is still an "evil". I had my lid replaced by Tesla a few months ago, after...

    Ionizer?

So because I (most likely) had mine off before v8, I'm now no longer able to use the ionizer, cause they removed the setting?

No wifi while driving in v8.0

Normal hotspot: My 4G mobile hotspot that creates a wifi network in the car. Which by the way now works, after I updated to 2.42.40. I can now stay connected to wifi while driving again.

No wifi while driving in v8.0

This is weird. Updated to 2.42.40 yesterday. After that, I connected to my iPhone hotspot. Put it into Drive, and it disconnects. Damnit. This morning, I bought my normal hotspot (I had taken it out of the Tesla since it no longer worked). First, I did a NORMAL reset of both screens (not the...

No wifi while driving in v8.0

Too bad you didn't try the older build of 8.0 to check if wifi was disabled while driving, so we could know if 2.42.40 fixes it.

No wifi while driving in v8.0

Unfortunately this did not work for me :-( I did as described. Then I connected to my wifi (set it up as new connection) - worked as usual. Then put car in Drive and it instantly disconnects from wifi. Then I tried again, after having added the wifi connection. But same result...

No wifi while driving in v8.0

Remember to e-mail Tesla about this. They encouraged me, to encourage as many people to do this as possible.

No wifi while driving in v8.0

The wifi hack thing was fixed before 8.0. Don't you remember when lots of people suddenly received an update and everybody thought it was 8.0 and it wasn't? " The automaker quickly responded by patching the two vulnerabilities in the Linux operating system and the web browser with an...

No wifi while driving in v8.0

You can always have the SIM card swapped with another one you own, so I don't think that's it. But it sucks when it comes to speed and coverage. I used my hotspot to get 4G speeds and better coverage in various places. No longer possible. But Tesla is happy to upgrade the cars 3G to 4G for USD...

No wifi while driving in v8.0

Yeah, I immediately wrote back to ask where in the "security" aspect is. To their defense, they did log a report for the purpose of reverting/fixing (unless that's a default reply, I guess many companies tell users "hopefully it can be changed in the future" knowing that it might never be).

No wifi while driving in v8.0

I wrote to [email protected] and explained this is very annoying. It seems that whenever the car is in "P", wi-fi is allowed. Switching to "D" disables wi-fi, even though the User Interface still allows you to scan for wi-fi networks and attempt to connect to them. ServiceHelpEU said this...

-25 celcius has eaten 66% of my range

I recommend you change settings from "rated" to "typical". The rated range is so far off you can barely never trust it. Typical range usually equals 200 wh/km, which is not that far off most real-life use, on average. During the past 25.000 km I've driven, my average use is 198 wh/km, as far as...

    Firmware 7.1

Sounds like radar/lidar is not really needed on future fully-auto cars, but just multiple cameras. And adding a camera to the rear window of TMS, like it has on front-window, is not that hard. I think it could be possible to retrofit SOME future upgrades to current AP cars, but I have a feeling...
