Why is this better than a new Model 3?
1. Long Range Rear-wheel Drive (best value config; no longer directly available)
2. Multi-coat Red ($2,500 extra today)
3. Lifetime LTE connectivity for OTA software updates, traffic, streaming music, Spotify, Netflix, Youtube (LTE for new cars is free for...
Probably a redundant question at this point, but were you able to fit the cable in the drop cover channel without problems? I'm going for a similar approach (running the Wall Connector 24' cable across sidewalk to my parking spot), and I wanted to make sure the drop cover fits, before I buy it...
Good to know, thanks. But I'll probably go with the industrial grade NEMA 14-50 (around $80) as recommended by Tesla, which can take such repeated unplugging usage.
My townhouse has no exterior outlets within reach of my parking space. The simplest solutions would be to (A) install a post in my front 'garden' patch, close to the sidewalk, or (B) run an extension cord from an outlet on the wall, all the way to the car. I told my HOA I'll put a bright yellow...

I just finished with the installation process and finally flipped on the solar power yesterday afternoon! It was a vendor that I found through the Solarize NOVA program. Even though there were no campaigns going at the time of purchase, the sales guy spoke to his CEO and got us a good deal...
Encouraging to hear that. I would hold out too, but for the uncertainty of Elon Time. With all due respect, I’m not sure of the July date being achievable. Add to that, the AWD seekers who are current owners: that’s pushing it uncomfortably close to $3,750 territory.
Personally we’re biting...
I logged in specifically to say this is the most helpful review I've read, and I spend hours everyday online, obsessing about the car! Thanks for keeping it so relatable, and encouraging! I'm looking forward even more now, for my new car.
