Has anyone purchased the part? Service said it would be $200USD, but requires other parts to secure the filter in place. From what I read and videos, not sure if these additional "parts" are needed to secure the filter in place. Please let us know if the filter itself good enough. Thanks.

Got my X back the same day. Only screen was replaced. The service rep was adamant that the MCU would never be replaced. The new looks screen looks great, only misaligned by a few mm.

Took the X in today for service, tech said they will replace the screen, no need to replace the MCU. Ironically, the MS loaner also has the same yellow border, 9K miles. o_O

The SC rep was very familiar with the issue, asked for pictures to make sure if it was out of "factory tolerance". Caught me by surprise, had a few FWD issues in the past, fixed without too many questions. Thought really hard about waiting until the end of the year, but with the influx of M3...

That was my original impression. Is there a good overview of the rated miles? On a related note, my car is in the service center, should get feedback on the battery health. Interestingly, the car's battery went down to 3% while parked waiting to be serviced, now it shows 191 vs. 189 at 100%...

Point taken. Next steps 1) Will request print out of battery health at the next service appointment 2) Keep track of percentage drops and wH consumed per trip 3) Record kWh charged back to the car with revenue grade meter; convert to % Wish I can just hack into it: Tesla, please stop making...

That's the only option at this time. There used to be an accessory hitch offering, but Tesla never figured out a cheaper solution than the standard class 2 hitch. Many buyers end up getting the tow package for free.
