I drove past on Saturday - the stalls still had covers on.

    Model 3 Highland warning icon

For what it's worth, I finally got the 2024.2 firmware update yesterday and the warning triangle has gone. I suspect that the version it came with (2023.44.30.9) was buggy on the M3H - I also had issues with regularly losing my Tesla profile, which seem to have gone away.

    Model 3 Highland warning icon

Thanks for the replies - at least it's not just my M3 😌 It took me a few drives to work out I could turn off the warning for the rest of the drive. I guess this implementation is about as good as possible, given the legislation. Displaying a warning triangle for no reason seems a little daft, tho'

    Model 3 Highland warning icon

I took delivery of my M3H on Friday - in general, it's fantastic. I do however have this odd warning icon on the top right of the speed limit sign: According to the manual, this signifies a system failure, so I opened a service request - Tesla say "Please note this stays visible regardless...

    So… Highland is out…

Yes, leasing this time round. I guess that explains it :)

    So… Highland is out…

Mine is due to be delivered to my home in Bath on Friday, whereas I picked my current 3 up in Cribbs. I'm not sure why I've been offered home delivery this time...

App nor octopus IO not waking up model 3

I'm not having any real issues waking my M3 using the app - Octopus IO seems to be completely broken though. The car starts charging at 23:30 as soon as my Podpoint is enabled (via homeassistant automation). IO will notice and stop the car from charging if not in a slot, but is then unable to...

Auto Wipers Triggered by Specific Types of Street Lights

Same issue for me driving out of London on the M4 at night - I can't engage TACC until the lighted part of the motorway ends. I drive this regularly on the way home from football games and it is always the same.

    So… Highland is out…

I'd be worried about turning the auto emergency options off - they saved my bacon on the M5: I'd moved out to pass a junction and was moving back into the LH lane and didn't spot the Audi driver doing 100 on the slip road and about to undertake me. It's pretty impressive when it works as...

    Buyer beware

I'm not so sure about that... I have a 2020 Model 3 LR that I'm looking to replace in the next few months. I went for a test drive in a BMW i4 last week and was really looking forward to these fabled BMW standards, but to be honest the inside finish was pretty tacky - really plastic-y, the...

[GUIDE] Automations for Octopus Intelligent with Home Assistant

I don't think there's anything there that would prevent (say) Teslamate from accessing the fleet APIs. It would be more tricky to set up though, as each installation would have to register as a new API "application" with Tesla. I can't see any pricing information for after the free period ends...

[GUIDE] Automations for Octopus Intelligent with Home Assistant

Thanks for this - some good ideas here and integrations I hadn't noticed before. BottleCapDave's Octopus integration provides much more info than the IO integration I was using previously. It seems though, that the octopus_energy_intelligent_dispatching sensor is only on during Octopus' IO...
