When will we get Park Assist on Model S with HW4 and no USS?

I agree that USS-based park assist is better when you need an accurate measurement of distance to objects in front of the car. I tend to back into spaces and the rear camera gives me all the information I need to assess distance. I like TV-based visualizations for seeing curbs on the side and...

When will we get Park Assist on Model S with HW4 and no USS?

Happy to see that drivers with USS equipped cars are given the choice of using the older USS-base park assist or the new TV-based park assist. I'm in a two Tesla family, one with USS and one without, so I've been able to compare and contrast the two versions of park assist. My preference leans...

    Rats Chewed Wires

Has anyone found a good way to deter rodents from nesting and chewing up the wires? Considering a spray repellant, but I'm not sure where to apply in inside my Tesla.

    battery drain airport parking

Agree that 50% is best for long-term storage. For a couple weeks, 70% is OK. Not so good to leave it at 100%

    battery drain airport parking

One more consideration... Don't leave it a a high state of charge, especially in hot weather. This will promote battery degradation. Better to leave it at 50-60%.

Watchla app no longer accepts authentication using tokens

Updated Watchla app to 3.5.1 last week. I like this app because it lets me use my Apple Watch as a bluetooth Tesla key to unlock and drive the car, even when my phone is not with me. Before the update I was able to sign in to Watchla using tokens rather than using my Tesla username and password...

    2023 Holiday Update

If a window does not drop a bit when opening the door in cold weather, try running a credit card along the bottom of the window between the glass and the window trim as shown in this YouTube. Works for me.

    Battery myths

Here is a link to a New York Time article: E.V.s Start With a Bigger Carbon Footprint. But That Doesn’t Last. This is a quote from the article, “All studies agree that electric vehicles save between 50 to 70 percent CO2 equivalents and that the time needed to recoup the additional emissions...

    2023 Holiday Update Imminent

This is a copy of my post today in the discussion of "high fidelity park assist" in the MS forum: Limited testing in my 2023 MY yesterday. No question it's better than the previous version of park assist. That not saying much because the previous version was useless. With the new version, on...

    High Fidelity Park Assist

Limited testing in my 2023 MY yesterday. No question it's better than the previous version of park assist. That not saying much because the previous version was useless. With the new version, on repeat trials in dry daytime conditions I was consistently getting a stop signal or red shading at...

    1up USA Bike Rack

Agree with @James1967. My 1Up USA super duty double rack fits my 2023 MY. Want to add that some issues that make the experience less than ideal. 1. The double rack blocks the backup camera. Wish Tesla sold an accessary rear camera that could be attached to the rack and integrated with the Tesla...

Comfort Suspension Not Much of an Improvement

Grab a credit card, insert it at the bottom of the window between the glass and the window seal and run it along the length of the window. Works for me.
