Mobile charger not pulling Amps - 0/0A but showing 240V

When you say wall connector, do you mean mobile connector hooked up to a 14-50 receptacle? Because if you’re referring to a Tesla wall connector, those are hard wired directly, not through a receptacle. Anyways, yeah if it is a mobile connector hooked up to a 14-50, then this should fix the issue

New 240v outlet pulling 0 amps

Was it the same issue? Showing 240 volts but not pulling amps? Or did it just not work?

The wire is rated for 50 amps. Home Depot worker told me it was a better idea. Thanks for the heads up though

Since I have a standard range model y, it can only charge max 32 amps. But yes, you are right. If I do get another EV that can charge at higher amperage then I will upgrade. Thanks for the reply

I visited the service center today to test my current MC and they said it was a faulty nema 14-50 adapter. They gave me a new one and it worked aswell. I think it’s safe to say that anyone having this problem just needs to replace their nema 14-50 adapters. Thanks for the update!

Hello, I recently had an electrician install a nema 1450 receptacle on a 40 amp breaker for my mobile connector. When plugging in, the mobile connector shows the pulsating green light as if it’s charging, and the car itself says it’s charging but it’s pulling 0 amps. It is showing 240 volts...

Sorry - didn’t see that you ordered a HPWC instead - ignore my message. I’ll update this thread once I get my adapter replaced, and how testing goes at the service center. It may just be a faulty adapter.

Please update once you get a new adapter. I’m currently in the same boat, seems like what @Rocky_H is correct - it might be a bad batch since I received my mobile connector yesterday and the 14-50 adapter is pulling 0 amps.
