Differences between 2019 and 2022 Model 3 Long Range AWD

There was one more change I did not noticed until recently when I decided to put in my Tesla all-weather floor mats (discontinued 2019 version): deleted plastic dead pedal cover (carpet only) Kind of a bummer since the original all-weather mats do not cover that area and the newer liners only...

2022 Q2 production Model 3 missing matrix headlights?

After switching from a 2019 with premium headlights to a 2022 with the global matrix ones, I can say that the old premiums seemed slightly brighter looking straight ahead with less splotchy coverage and a softer cutoff line. That being said, I prefer the aesthetics of the global units, and they...

Differences between 2019 and 2022 Model 3 Long Range AWD

I just switched from an early 2019 Model 3 to a 2022. Here is the list of differences I compiled while deciding if the change would be worthwhile: upgraded to MCU3 upgraded to HW3 (after April 2019) basic autopilot included (after April 2019) maximum EPA estimated range improved from 310 to...

    Price increase? [posted 06.16.2022]

I wonder if this is simply a tactic for slowing down or delaying orders. Tesla has very lengthy backlogs and may see this as a better option than not accepting orders at all for certain models.

Model 3 - LR AWD Waiting Room

There were some pretty awesome airshow rehearsal flights happening above Tesla Chesterfield today. I have the opposite situation. Was supposed to get my car Monday, but it arrived today. Pickup is now tomorrow at 3pm.

2022 Q2 production Model 3 missing matrix headlights?

I'm fairly certain that the "premium" reflector headlights are North American spec and only show up on cars manufactured in Fremont.

My VIN is also a 2661xx but MSM. Hoping for similar luck! 🤞

Model 3 - LR AWD Waiting Room

Lol, I'm afraid to ask about the headlights. The reflector ones have been fine on my 2019 M3, but part of why I ordered this car was to get all of the new and improved stuff. Fingers crossed!

Model 3 - LR AWD Waiting Room

Got a VIN last night (266xxx) and a new EDD of 6/13 - 6/17! Looks like the floodgates have opened for early March orders.

Model 3 - LR AWD Waiting Room

Aero wheels have been standard for LR models in the US since they first went on sale. However, Tesla encourages people to buy the 19s by having that option pre-selected in the configurator.

Supercharger - St. Louis, MO (BarK)

Nice! I'll have to check out this SC location next time I visit the botanical gardens.

Model 3 - LR AWD Waiting Room

Updated to a 2-week window this morning! Ordered 3/7 and latest EDD is June 6 - June 20. Will decide whether to trade-in or sell my current Model 3 once I have a VIN.

Model 3 - LR AWD Waiting Room

Reserved my first Model 3 before the design was revealed and took delivery of it in early 2019. Only saw one up close for a few minutes in the interim. No regrets.

Sorry, looks like you have the older "Premium" headlights. They are still all-LED though and have a good safety rating.

Mobile Connector no longer included with new cars [posted 04/16/2022 - Tesla confirms adapter included with cars ordered before 04/17/22]

Hey, does anyone know if the NEMA 14-50 adapter is now included with pre-4/17 orders being delivered? I'm curious, since it is listed as part of the new $200 order option. Trying to find out if I need to keep the one I already have when I sell my 2019 Model 3.
