That’s great. You got patience to go through all of that. I wish I had thought more about how much energy I actually needed to go off grid with AC. I run my AC alot off of the PW2s and it can last for say 5 hours till it cools down at night. In hindsight I should’ve gotten four or more.

How were you able to swap out the old PW2s with the newer ones? For the 3rd one, was this a separate job with separate permit, SGIP, etc?

Yeaup makes sense. At least for the future I know the other options. On a side note I bragged to my wife about reducing inrush current and she eyerolled me. She’ll thank me later next time PG&E does a PSPS and it’s 100F outside 😂

Ok nice. I was looking at that as well. Do you happen to know what percentage reduction in inrush amps you achieved with the MicroAir? With SureStart I was able to reduce by 64.5%.

Looks like I got lucky. I did see Tesla claim two PWs can support LRA <139 but looks like it varies. For me 39 amp start up with my other typical electrical loads seems to be working. However I did not test with the fridge compressor cycling on. I wonder what the inrush current is for my fridge...

Should I be worried about the installation now? Or is this a case of the installer having only permitted back in Dec ‘19 for interior home backup and then they sneakily switched it to whole home backup without redoing the permit??

@fragchild Before you lowered the frequency, when the PW2s are 100% charged, did the power go out for 15-30 seconds or was it instantaneous switchover, but just at a high frequency?

Can you explain from what frequency did you lower it from? Was it too high and causing a similar issue that I am seeing where power to the home is disrupted? I can try the balanced one although I'm not sure why that would make a difference as this all works so as long as the PW2s are not 100%...
