    AC blowing warm air

Does your 'keep climate on/dog mode" option work? And manual mode still blows warm?

T boned. Totaled or will insurance make us repair?

How was sales tax handled? You don't need to accept their offer if you don't think it is fair. Make a counter offer, mention attorney, etc. If it's going to take a month to get a new model 3 they should pay rental car cost.

    Model 3 annual/25k miles maintenance

Is brake fluid replacement at 2 years no longer on the list?

At 3.2K miles car shows multiple errors, Tesla Service picking it up; software issue or worse?

ok, thanks. I may take similar measures just in case.

Model 3 Interior lighting. Best product, and frunk add.

So do the Abstract Ocean LEDs have the same issue with heat as the RPM ones?

At 3.2K miles car shows multiple errors, Tesla Service picking it up; software issue or worse?

wow and such a new car. Were you parking it outside or are you in a rural area or have older garage that is open or not well sealed? Just wondering if this is something I need to be concerned with.

    Failed to Turn on Climate

Not sure but I experienced the same thing...manual mode would work, auto mode would not work very well, keep climate on and dog mode would not work at all and neither would the app. Unfortunately the day I brought it in it worked...they checked the logs and couldn't find any error messages...

    V10 - Increased Vampire Drain

Away for 4 days, car lost 2 miles of range. Sentry off, no smart summon, garaged in So.Cal. Quite pleased with the reduction in vampire drain vs. previously. 32.12.2

    Failed to Turn on Climate

are both keep climate on and the app controls non-functional? If so, I would guess a sensor issue.

Does the model 3 have an IOT garage door opener app?

The homelink in the model 3 works great and love the GPS integration. Not worth trying to kludge together another option IMO.

    Seat cover for post workout?

Thanks, I like the looks of that one.
  12. M

Anyone get a performance spoiler installed recently? Fitment issues resolved?

Unlikely the variation is in the trunk lid which comes out of a metal stamping machine with no human intervention vs. Chinese made inexpensive carbon fiber part that relies on significant manual labor to make.

    Seat cover for post workout?

Explained in post #8 Basically looking for a towel with a hood on the top to loop around the headrest.

Rodent damage: my washer fluid reservoir was leaking. It was chewed through by something.

Curious if your Model 3 is parked outside overnight?
  15. M

    Seat cover for post workout?

Not for permanent use, just after workout.

P3D Mildly Rear-Ended - how long to remove rear bumper fascia

$365 to remove/replace rear bumper for Tesla certified shop in SoCal. High labor rates.

    Ceramic coating

Lots of lengthy threads on this topic to read. Yes, worth it, but don't pay thousands of dollars to have it done.

Experiencing regenerative braking issues after 1 year

I'd say don't charge so high, but if you need to just realize that 'using' the brakes once in a while in the Model 3 is a good thing.

At 3.2K miles car shows multiple errors, Tesla Service picking it up; software issue or worse?

Good luck and keep us updated. A bummer to have an issue with a new car for sure.
  20. M

Anyone get a performance spoiler installed recently? Fitment issues resolved?

No he didn't, although when he test fit it on the car it appeared to seat very well. Still holding well after 2 days.
  21. M

    Seat cover for post workout?

Ya, this is the one I was looking at and was wondering about that backing. So the anti-slip dots on the back make indentations in the seat that then go away?
  22. M

    Seat cover for post workout?

Ya me too, just a bit finicky to keep it draped over the headrest. Saw some of the Amazon type with a hood that slips over the headrest and thought they'd work a bit better.

Anyone get a performance spoiler installed recently? Fitment issues resolved?

Just got mine installed today along with performance badge at the Costa Mesa, CA spoiler install day. Looks beautiful, so glad I got them installed. The service tech said that this new spoiler version fits the car much better. In may all be in my head, but the car sounds quieter...

    Seat cover for post workout?

Anyone find a good towel seat cover for using after workouts? Lots on Amazon but reviews are spotty for most. Some don't fit well, some bleed through onto your clothes or the seat, etc. Looking for some suggestions that work with the model 3 and most importantly work well with the Vegan seat...

Need advice on Rear End Damage

Ask them if they can unplug the sensors that are creating warning messages so that you can drive the car while waiting. I think any Tesla certified shop would be fine for that repair, unless they indicate there is motor or battery damage. You may get stuck with a collision deductible unless...

How to tell if windshield is well-sealed?

The question was how to tell if the windshield is well sealed. There is another post somewhere demonstrating the use of an IR camera to find a windshield leak. Never said it was the ultimate solution to track down every noise in the car.
  27. M

How to tell if windshield is well-sealed?

If you think you have a windshield seal issue, tape up the windshield and see if it makes a difference. Ultimate test is with an IR camera and cranking up the heat inside the car.

    Unlock on Park...

You are confusing two different issues...unlock on park and walk away door lock. check menu again and manual explains both functions.
  29. M

    Noise while braking

I would turn regen to low and do some harder braking down a hill. The brakes are used so lightly in typical driving that pads can get glazed. Getting them hot with multiple rapid slow downs heading down a hill may help. I seriously doubt your pads or rotors are worn out.

    Model 3 Performance Badging

Ya, I guess not as critical as the spoiler which seems to have trouble sticking even without ceramic coating. Not much leverage pulling on those letters of the badge, so I think your suggestion is a good one.

    Model 3 Performance Badging

Can someone who has had the performance badge installed with the jig at a service center do me a favor? I need to polish off my ceramic coating in the area of the badge install and want to tape it off and just buff the area of the mounting spot, so a quick measure of badge dimensions and...

Ceramic Coating before or after OEM Spoiler install?

and if someone would be so kind as to measure the size of the performance badge and the distance from the side and bottom of the trunk body. That way I can tape off and buff just the necessary area. Just realized this thread is in the S forum and I'm asking about a model 3.
  33. M

Ceramic Coating before or after OEM Spoiler install?

Good advice...does anyone have a measurement of how tall/thick the mounting area is for the stock spoiler? I think I know where the top edge starts but not sure how far down to polish....
  34. M

Ceramic Coating before or after OEM Spoiler install?

Any updates on this? I have ceramic coating and an appointment this weekend for spoiler and badge install. I plan to clay, then buff the mounting areas with Meg 205 and DA polisher, followed by IPA wipe down. Any tips or suggestions?

    How hot is heat?

have you tried manual mode to see if it gets warmer? I had a bad temperature sensor which would cause auto mode to have anemic cooling. Since having the sensor replaced heating and cooling can be as strong as I can stand.

    Rattle: SOLVED.

Can you post a picture and point out where the missing clips were?
  40. M

I need to know about your rattles....

I also have a slight rattle in the headliner above driver's seat on bumpy roads. Seems to go away if I fold the visor forward. Any tips to open the headliner there and did you have any luck solving yours?

Those guys got busted? Great to hear. Do you have a link to a news story.

MASTER THREAD: Tesla Insurance Services in California

There is a lot of insurance sold direct without a conventional agent in California. For example with Costco/Ameriprise, I deal directly with Ameriprise and not an agent. I think what you might be saying is the person you deal with needs to be licensed, but not necessarily a third party agent...

MASTER THREAD: Tesla Insurance Services in California

Not sure, but Tesla does not use any data from your car in pricing the insurance, despite what Elon said.

$300 more per year than Costco for me.

Will my M3 prevent me from crashing?

just read a thread about a model 3 that crashed into a concrete wall in a parking garage. Here's another thread on that topic. Lane Departure Safety Features Not Working So as others have said, the answer is no. I love my car but it's not close to being as good a driver as I am.
  48. M

M3 driving stiff or is it just me.

Yeap, lower tire pressure. I'm running 40psi now and I think it's the sweet spot. Be sure to reset the TPM if you change your pressure.

    Failed to Turn on Climate

Just back from Tesla service. They replaced the temperature/humidity sensor and this seems to have fixed the issue. Auto mode works much better and Keep Climate On and the climate app controls are both functional now as well.
