Not sure if something is different now, but in the past you always needed to call to change your configuration. I tried changing my MYLR to a MYP last year right after one of the price increases and was told I could, but only at the new cost which I had to respond to agree to via text.

It absolutely sucks. To me at least, its clear Tesla is dividing up older orders based on what they can get out of Fremont by EOQ and those they plan to produce and deliver from Giga Texas (east coast).

I have the exact same EDD as you. I'm convinced they're lining some of us up for Giga Texas production. I'm with you, I personally prefer a Fremont build than to be one of the first 4680 cell vehicles produced.

Yup, you're right. The Tesla ordering process has been quite frustrating with the MY, but I know its due to a ridiculous amount of demand. But hey, as frustrating as it is still beats having to deal with a dealership, so I'll persevere.

This is fairly solvable. Tesla can simply have a holding lot in a neighboring state like LA and ship them to TX buyers from there. Kind of silly that Austin built Teslas would need to leave TX to be sold to Texans, but that's just how it is right now. I'm sure this would be cheaper for Tesla...

You're correct. If you didn't submit a credit application through Tesla when it was still 2.49% you're out of luck since it now increased. Tesla facilitates the credit application process and likely has more favorable terms and approval odds with the banks they do business with than if you were...

Wow just realized this! My current 2.49 through Tesla (WF) expires 3/6, which I'm assuming Tesla knows since the latter date of my EDD range never goes past that. I will be pretty upset if I can't take delivery before that date and need to resubmit my application again for this higher rate.

That's happened to me before, but within a couple days it updated to another EDD range. Hasn't happened to me recently though, stuck on 2/23-3/4 at the moment.

I thought delivery was imminent... re-secured financing, started purchasing accessories, only to have it pushed out as the earlier...

I was in the same boat as you yesterday. My EDD has been 2/10 - 2/24 for weeks. Then this morning it was pushed out to 2/23 - 3/4. I'd expect they'll do the same to you tomorrow morning.

Exactly. We're holding EV's to an unrealistic standard. No one has ever had issues with ICE vehicles only getting 300 miles of range. I understand there are gas stations everywhere to help offset the need for even longer range ICE vehicles, but we'll eventually get there with charging stations...

You should wait until closer to your EDD since it expires every 30 days anyway. My SA swore to me that this causes no delay whatsoever on your EDD.
