I have the title in hand for a quick sale.
A few things I forgot to mention in the original post that several people have asked about:
1) The car was put into service in Sept 2018

3) This is an MCU 2 version...

$300. Free pick up in NJ 07748 or buyer pays shipping to lower 48 only. PM me if interested.
You can do the installation yourself. It connects to the Tesla computer port and should not void the warranty ( in my opinion for what that's worth ). It will connect to Tesla's audio via Bluetooth, the same as your phone. I'm excited to install it bc I want Carplay, Waze, etc. in addition to...
I just got a new MYP and still have my 2018 MS 75D that I'm planning to sell shortly. Still adjusting. My thoughts:
1) the MYP is definitely sportier to drive
2) it feels a bit smaller in the cabin than the MS
3) I do miss my instrument cluster and hate having to look all the way to the right...

I got my HW 3 upgraded in my 2018 Model S HW 2.5 MCU2 car yesterday at Springfield, NJ service center. I had bought the FSD option earlier this year and was stoked to hear they would upgrade the HW. I made an appointment a couple of weeks ago to get my winter tires mounted and asked about HW 3...
I held off for now. Seems like the technology is evolving, between the solar shingles available now and also more recent advances in efficiency. I'm hoping that by then end of next year, this will provide more cost effective and aesthetically pleasing options.
I got it to work eventually. Restarted the car and MCU. Still didn't work. Disabled bluetooth on phone, it started working. Stayed working after I reenabled bluetooth.
It isn't working for me either. It worked once but hasn't since. I suspect a content provider issue. Let's give it a day or two.
When it did work, it was cool. Lyrics displayed in white and then changed to blue in time with song. Very cool. Kids are excited to try it out.
Update on my repair attempt. Springfield SC attempted the repair. At first glance when background is white ( daytime mode ) repair looked good. However, in night time or dark mode, there is still very visible discoloration. Repair significantly reduced discoloration but I had previously reached...
An update to my issue. Like many here, I filed a case with NCDS and it was accepted. Ryan reached out to me yesterday and we have spent the better part of today working towards a mutually agreeable solution. Like many of you, I was concerned that the UV fix may not fully remove the discoloration...
Not only that, but if I continue to seek reasonable assurances that if the repair is unsuccessful that my screen will be replaced, he will report to the Arbitrator that I ‘refuse to let them fix the screen unless they do it the way I want’. As if I want to be dealing with any of this silliness...
I don't understand your attempts to excuse their behavior. I fundamentally disagree with their attempt to exclude this from warranty. This goes beyond satisfying my own repairs needs, this is about accountability and principles.
Interesting that Ryan has already contacted me about my tweet. Hi Ryan!
Look, it's very simple. We don't like having to engage Arbitration to get attention and priority. We also don't enjoy having paid a lot of money for a car only to be treated as idiots and told that a car screen is a wear...
You can ask him what constitutes a reasonable opportunity to repair? what conditions must exist to provide for that? ( repair kit available, Service Center staff trained on it's use, appointment scheduled, car delivered to SC, etc ) and if you have attempted to deliver on your elements and Tesla...
I received this email from Ryan today. Seems reasonable to negotiate terms around accepting the repair option prior to agreeing to end Arbitration ( which my case was accepted for ), such as ensuring work is performed under warranty and that failure to completely and permanently eliminate the...
My belief is that temperature is the underlying cause of the issue, however, in direct sunlight, the effect is more pronounced, i.e. very yellowish green. I suspect the issue is worse at the edge because there is less airflow or heat dispersement.
Which SC? Can you share before and after photos? To be clear, I would be willing to wait if there was
1) a definitive and reasonable timeframe for the fix to be generally available
2) clarity on the degree to which this will definitely resolve the issue and for how long
3) agreement that this...
I received the following after significant back and forth with customer service. I had contacted them asking for repair, they said UV is only option and to contact service center to schedule appointment. I did that, service center reaches out and said they don’t have the repair kit nor do they...
Tell him that unless this is documented as a warranty replacement you will continue the arbitration process. Otherwise there is a risk that they will replace your screen with the same version that is prone to the issue to save costs. Then they are off the hook for having to replace in the future.
Got this email from Customer Service today:
"Thank you for contacting Tesla! Please allow me to apologize for the delay in our response to this email. Some owners have shared concerns regarding a yellow border forming around the edges of the touchscreen. Tesla has reviewed these cases and...

No flat sections on roof, roof has a mid level of slope. It's a colonial with an attached garage. MP6 section between the garage on right and main house gets partial shade right where MP6 panels are later in day as house roof is taller than MP6 connecting roof. I agree, not sure why they put...
I may have been wrong about net metering cap. Link to JCP&L info:

I though they limited residential to < 10kW inverters but there's a second level that's for < 2,000 kW that looks like I should be able to join and get full value, though there is a fee.
Does anyone else...

One issue I’ve discovered is that our utility caps net metering at 10kWh. I usually charge my model S at night which uses about 25kW out of a total daily amount of 40 to 50 kW, leaving me with a likely shortfall of 15 to 20 kW.
This will impact savings for sure. Any ideas here? Probably...
Good to hear from a fellow NJ person! Mind if I pick your brain a bit more?
How long have you had your system? Is it performing as you expected/as it was sized? Do you have PSEG or JCPL? Do you take advantage of net metering? If so, how well does that cover your nighttime needs?
I'm debating...
Hi,
I just got my system design and proposal. We're in NJ and I'd like any feedback, ideas, suggestions as we're new to the whole solar thing.
Size: 17.33 kW ( 15,690 kWh estimated production in first year, 90% energy offset ). I have a model S which uses about 25 kWh / day to charge for my...
Anyone having an issue with not being able to put wipers into Service mode? I'm on 12.1.1.2 and went to change my wipers today on my 2018 MS 75D. Went to put the wipers into service mode, which normally moves them to mid wipe position but nothing happened.
Was able to change blades but as I'm...
