I was interested in your idea of shaving down the front pads, but wanted to also source a spare set. I can't seem to find it as a replacement part unless I buy a whole new set from tesla. Might just try to add some sort of rubber spacer under the rear pads somehow and see if that might help...

Any updates on this? I have the same exact issue with my Thule Roof Box as it is slanted upwards. I tried using styrofoam spacers under the cargobox to lift the rear up a little, but it wasn't safe because the clamps would loosen overtime.
