Apex 18x9.5 Wheels on 2022 M3P Hitting Knuckle

HA! I literally had my finger on the trigger on the MPP website for the front rotors, but was a little worried 4mm might not be enough to clear the knuckle. I was ready with the "but babe, it'll make the car a lot safer" speech and everything.

Apex 18x9.5 Wheels on 2022 M3P Hitting Knuckle

Thanks. Apex confirmed the fitment guide has a typo. Should be 5mm.

Apex 18x9.5 Wheels on 2022 M3P Hitting Knuckle

Heard back from Apex. They're recommending a 5mm spacer. Since their fitment guide says 3mm spacers will work for their ET34 wheels, I've asked whether they think it's the refreshed Model 3 knuckle that is the issue or if the EC-7R just requires a wider spacer than Apex's other wheels at a +34...

Apex 18x9.5 Wheels on 2022 M3P Hitting Knuckle

Good thought, but the wheel speed sensor is fastened to the knuckle. I can also see a scrape on the knuckle where the rim is making contact.

Apex 18x9.5 Wheels on 2022 M3P Hitting Knuckle

I have a bit of an odd situation with a new set of Apex EC-7R wheels for my 2022 M3P. I bought the 18 x 9.5 ET34 Model 3 wheels, wrapped them in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 265/40R18 tires, and used 3mm spacers from MODEL+ to deal with the hub step. In theory, this set up should work. Despite all...

    Overzealous ABS While Cornering

Yeah, wheels were definitely centered on the hub. I would have also expected the system to learn the new setup, but I probably put ~200 mi on the car with the tires swapped and it never figured it out.

    Overzealous ABS While Cornering

Well, I have an answer. Sort of. It turns out the shop noticed the rear tires had 1/16" less tread than the front tires and rotated them while they were servicing the brakes. This seems to have messed with the wheel speed sensors and caused the car to think the front tires were slipping while...

    Overzealous ABS While Cornering

I didn't try it in Track Mode. I'll check this evening and update the thread. I'm also taking it back to the shop tomorrow to have them make sure they purged all the air out when they flushed the brake system.

    Overzealous ABS While Cornering

This is a fair point, but I take that exit at about the same speed several times a week and have never had the ABS step in on me before.

    Overzealous ABS While Cornering

Thanks for your response! I had it aligned to factory specs after installing the shocks and bushings. I'm running 19" x 9" Titan 7 wheels with 245/40ZR19 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. The normal 4S--not the acoustic ones or the runflats.

    Overzealous ABS While Cornering

Hey folks, I'm experiencing some odd behavior with my Model 3 Performance's brakes. Yesterday while exiting the highway on a clover-leaf offramp, I lightly hit the brakes and the ABS intervened to the extent that the brakes barely engaged. I came in pretty hot, but nothing out of the ordinary...

    AC odor removal and cleaning

Might be complete trash, but I refuse to give Tesla a dime for something that should be covered under warranty.

    AC odor removal and cleaning

Still a little bitter, so I'm getting these instead of giving Tesla money for the OEM filters: Model 3 HEPA Cabin Air Filter Replacement Hopefully the activated charcoal keeps them from smelling funky. We'll see...

    AC odor removal and cleaning

Yeah, that's kind of the crux of it (and why I asked the question). If I'm the only one actually filing a complaint, I think it's safe to say it won't make a bit of difference.

    AC odor removal and cleaning

Man...I just went to the service center to have the mold smell removed and they tried to charge me for it. Reading this thread, it sounds like that has happened a lot. The Service Manager said the mold smell is a common problem and that Tesla has specifically instructed them not to fix it under...

I have a set of new Model 3 Performance 20-inch wheels + tires + sensors for sale. They came on my P3D and I swapped them the day I took delivery. As you would expect, the wheels are perfect and the tires have 100% tread. Pics below. Price is $3200 obo. I'm based in Durham, NC and for...

    Aftermarket Anti-Roll / Sway Bars

So, you feel like you really notice better balance and feedback, improved lap times, etc? For as heavy as the Model 3 is, I guess I shouldn’t be shocked—I just assumed the center of gravity would hide a little more sin.

    Aftermarket Anti-Roll / Sway Bars

Apologies in advance if this has been covered elsewhere, but I had a look around and didn't find anything. My P3D is arriving next week and I'm thinking ahead to suspension mods. I saw that Unplugged Performance is doing sway bars and I'm really curious if anyone is running them or thinking...
