Hmm.. I can't help but think that 25 kW charging isn't a great mix with train stations. Someone drives to the station, plugs in, goes to work all day, but their car is then blocking the charger for 5+ hours?

Kiwis have been getting new pins throughout the year. The locations are usually precise and consistently, when the site is checked, construction is underway. It's almost as if Tesla in NZ actually uses their "find us" map to provide useful, accurate and timely info! Not sure why only NZ...

Ampol has submitted a DA for their first site in Tasmania, at Campbell Town. About 150 m away from the busy Evie location. Note they didn't get ARENA funding for Tas, so this is 100% privately funded.

Just leaving Warrnambool now, heading towards Colac. Could be tempted to detour to Port Campbell if there was a likely chance of finding something, but I also emailed the council before my trip and the response was similar to the news article above.

Yep, it would appear so. Some are just in the middle of an empty dirt patch or in a park. So there is no actual location or timeframe info being provided by these pins. You can’t filter these out, and Plugshare renders them on top of other pins (including “active” RAA sites for example). All...

On the way back from Ceduna I thought I’d check the Wudinna site, expecting it to look the same as before. I found an RAA employee going through the commissioning! He said it would be active this afternoon, but it’s not showing up yet. Also mentioned Streaky Bay and Kimba wouldn’t be far off...

With the recent addition of Supercharger - Rockhampton, Qld we are now at 39 stalls at 5 sites under construction simultaneously!

Interesting that Tritium is considering/threatening leaving, yet Kempower are setting up an Australian presence (don’t think this necessarily means manufacturing, probably an admin/sales/logistics hub).

FYI I neglected to update this thread at the time, but as I went past last week: Oct 20th - no evidence of construction in Port Augusta Oct 21st - Kimba and Wudinna units installed, not activated Oct 22nd - no evidence of construction in Streaky Bay Things might have changed since then.

Basically urban Brisbane though? Tesla has all the stats they need on urban driving locations and charging, which is why I focus on regional areas with the voting.

Hmm I hadn’t cross checked the addresses… good point! What would the next best option be? Swap in Nicholls? Leongatha? Victor Harbor? Or maybe just list 4 options, and later through the quarter, see which other Aussie site is furthest ahead?

Yeah, I suspect this as well… but we can’t be sure. It’s also the only regional Qld option and I’m conscious that Queensland hasn’t had a winning site yet and the votes should be spread around between states. I’ve updated the document to include Mildura and Rockhampton - Supercharger voting...

Ha, it appears that site just scrapes locations from the Tesla map. Just checked the Hobart one and it’s in the same “wrong” place (middle of a roundabout) as Teslas map shows.
