Very similar experience. The increased consumption I observed on the first charge after 8.0, has not continued. Not sure what I observed earlier, but I am certainly glad to have things back to normal.

That is interesting. It has been very hot here, and the car has been out in baking hot sun quite a bit last week. I'm certain that cabin overheat kicked in a few times last week. Didn't Elon say that the car could run for a year or something on a full charge with overheat protection running...

Just out of curiosity, about what percentage of the 500 miles was town vs. highway? I may be seeing higher around town consumption - but I need to continue observing.

That is what I would have expected with the higher regen, but that has not been the case for me. I do see the higher regen graphically on the display, but it is very subtle difference from 7.0 while driving. Perhaps this was a first 8.0 charge anomaly, but I want to keep an eye on it.

You know... I don't usually watch that number. I look at the miles since last charge as my metric. I just charged last night, so I will check and see the watts/mile this time and report back.

I thought that about the extra regen as well. I was probably 70/30 town/highway on this last charge. I may start a separate thread to see if any others are noticing this.

Yeah, I'm kind of watching that now myself. With my first 90% charge after 8.0 on my 90D, I got about 170 miles. I always get 200+ of the rated 264 with my normal driving around town and freeway. Nothing unusual with my driving habits on this charge, and I am in California so it isn't cold...

My app updated to 2.7.9.161 last night and now I can no longer connect over WiFi. 2.7.8.160 connected (albeit slowly) over WiFi for me.

I'm going to try upside down in the black area on my next trip (someone else mentioned that worked), otherwise I may try the rear hatch. I have tint on the back liftgate window, and concerned about attaching the velcro strips. I'm sure they would destroy my tint if I tried to remove them.

Yep, that is what the customer service rep said - the toll both camera looks for the plate and the HOV sticker on the back. I guess that I need to put the sticker on, or hold the transponder out the sunroof :eek:

Thanks for the info Nike! I spoke with MetroExpress and they indicated that if I was in the 110 Express lane, and the transponder did not trigger, and they did a plate lookup - the only way that I would *not* be charged is if I have the HOV sticker on the back. Do you have the HOV stickers on...

Yep, no empirical data to suggest that anything is different - it just *seems* a bit different. I have only put 75 miles on this update thus far, so maybe the sense will go away after a few more road miles.

Finally got 2.28.19 yesterday. I notice that regen seems a bit weaker as well. I'm using the brakes more than I would normally need to.

You may want to check the service centers in your area. I was able purchase one of the Tesla 14-30 adapters a couple of weeks ago. The SC's parts department may still have some in stock.

My black refreshed S 90D that I took delivery on last month has exactly the same issue. It is most noticeable on the passenger rear door. It is slightly misaligned on the driver side rear door.

Wow! I am in SoCal and also just received my new plates, and it is xTMSxxx. I wonder if it is a crazy coincidence, or something planned. I have actually ordered personalized plates, so I will have to give up the TMS plates.

I just looked at my credit report, and Tesla pulled from TransUnion for my loan/lease inquiry.

I was told that financing through Alliant did not qualify for the RVG.

I also financed through Alliant. The process was quick and effortless. I did not have a prior CU account with them. The rates were much better than Tesla partners, so my only decision ended up being a willingness to sacrifice the RVG.

I'm hoping that he is not going to actually receive a 14-50 instead, and the SC screwed up. On a good note, I was able to finally locate an SC that had a 10-30 they were able to sell me. Now, if I could find a 14-30.

What Btrflyl8e said above. It is not very difficult. I had right-angle needle nose pliers, so I was able to remove the security screws without destroying the plate holder. We California folks might get a fixit ticket for no front plate, and I can put it back on temporarily if needed.
