It'll come back. Had the same repair, full tsb in September. Have put 12,000 miles on my P100 since then and it's starting to show again. Mines always set to low. Albeit, the solution lasted longer this time, but it's by no means permanent. This was my second shudder fix.

I don't think so. The curve was the bigger issue in the MX ghosting. I'd imagine they've taken that into consideration for CT. They also switched their windshield production technique to greatly reduce ghosting, so hopefully there's none.

Agreed. I'm guessing the CT will be the same, but will have another name for a mode besides ludicrous, and I doubt plaid. I'm guessing they save plaid only for the roadster and maybe model s?

I keep my car in ludicrous mode all the time. I hardly turn on L+ now, but the difference between the two is minimal. I'm thinking the CT will be the same, whereas the quick mode is something like 3.0 or 3.1 and not hugely slower than the full on mode

2018 P100 with 49,000 miles here. 6 months ago my 90% was 263. My 90% is now 244. Have tried the rebalancing, cycling, etc to no end. Service says they don't see anything 'wrong' with battery health. If yours is dropping this early, hold on, it's going to drop a lot more.

I'd be more concerned with what happened to the original 3 rims that they got replaced and why there is an out of place stock rim. How many sets were used to make the 4 on your car now. I'd take the tires off and make sure rims weren't cracked and welded back, etc etc. You can always powder...

I figured it would reduce range, but was really hoping for the 500mile range with off road tires. What a beast it would be for road trips if you could slap high efficiency tires on there and get more range :)

Currently have 49,000 miles on my model x p100d, average 377wh/mi in Oklahoma weather. (2 years of 4 seasons avg). I am guessing the tri motor CT will run 490-520wh/mi.

You should let Elon know his weights are wrong. The CT has already been published to weigh the same as an F150.

I don't think it messes the numbers up. If it did we would be seeing blocks of Vin numbers based on trim, and not VINs that are a few hundred or thousand apart tied to trim and time across 200k VINs

Agree, tri motor. Just set it to chill or sport mode for driving to get the same output as the dual motor. 500mile range while off roading will be a must have.

I'd imagine 3' or better. Somewhere on Twitter Elon mentions that the model s can essentially be used as a boat if you have the speed while in a flood (he was half serious). I cant imagine the battery or any electronics would be hurt copying Rivian in any off-road challenge.

I think we need more data to see if they've switched to mask the chronological RNs. All other orders on this thread seem to point towards chronological ordering. I suppose they could be setting aside a certain number of VINs per trim level and doing chronological by that now.

It would make for a fun camping vehicle with the roof top tent (or bed tent) option. Would at least negate the daily drain you would see with basic power usage, and potentially enough to keep your Tesla ATV full all the time.

MS still doesn't have the newer cell structure either, does it? Id imagine wh/mi is even higher than 400. I'd venture to say it'll push 430-450.

Tri I believe it's all just order numbers right now. I have 1127496xx and ordered the tri motor. My friend ordered the dual motor an hour later and had 1127775xx

I like the tri-motor route because they won't have to invent new tech and delay production. Keep it simple and deliver what's worked in other vehicles. I'm guessing it's a 240kw battery pack with the 2170 cells. We haven't seen the 2170s in the s or x yet to know how much range a 100kw pack...

This is a cool idea, but not practical. I suppose it'd be nice to curb phantom drain during a hiking trip, but it's not like this truck could be taken overlanding and never need a charge the whole trip. Although we can sure dream... Maybe an overlanding trip in Alaska during the summer?

Certainly agree. It's so they can put their order numbers up against Rivian and Ford F150e, and bump up the stock price. That being said, I'm still happy I have one of the first thousand order numbers, as the wait for the truck will be similar to the 3 and X where it took a year or more to...
