Wiki SpaceX as a Company - General Discussion

Without announcement, SpaceX has switched their livestream events to X. As we are all pretty aware by now, SpaceX has also stopped having an announcer for Starlink launches.

Wiki SpaceX Manifest and Launch Cadence

Aiming for 10 Falcon flights in a month by end of this year, then 12 per month next year. SpaceX did gain another launch facility at Vandenberg to launch from. That makes two in Florida and two at Vandenberg. The extra launch site should allow SpaceX to pull off 12 a month...

SpaceX will probably get some, if not most, of the launch contracts. But others are building most of the satellites. https://spacenews.com/space-development-agencys-data-transport-satellites-get-more-complex/

Yeah. How many clients will they get with even one flight as day. That's an awful lot of people willing to shell out quite a bit for 4 minutes of weightlessness.

Raptor Engine - General Development Discussion and News

Maybe someone could give a quick overview, like Elon did for Tim Dodd for Raptor 1 to Raptor 2. However, I'm sure ITAR would prevent anyone from going into the details.

Correct. And a quick reminder that at the start of hostilities that Starlink wasn't authorized in Ukraine. It took the head of Ukraine's Ministry of "Something" to authorize Starlink in the country. Starlink was activated and SpaceX with help from various countries had the truckload of dishes...

    Elon Musk - SpaceX version

Yeah. I had some climate activist friends, of which I am one to a minor extent, post how Greta Thunberg was dropping Twitter because Elon was buying it. She reportedly tweeted she was moving to a different format and that Elon was self absorbed. They were praising her choices. My response...

    Elon Musk - SpaceX version

Keep in mind that was quite a while back. As I commented to advocate8, I doubt he holds the same thoughts now. Government officials in Ukraine essentially, if not in fact, told Elon to go eff himself when he proposed giving up some of the country. I'm personally with Ukraine, and yourself...

In what possible way is he a "useful tool" to Putin. Starlink has allowed the country Putin started a war with to successfully fight him. SpaceX has, as I already wrote, decimated the Russian space agency. Tesla has gotten the world to electrify. Russia has, maybe, a decade or two to sell...

Moderator note. This has the possibility of going "off the rails." Let's keep it civil and discuss the points and stress when it is opinion. With that said, IMO, Elon Musk is no friend to Putin. That is laughable. I think he hates the idea of war and conflict. So, of course he wants to see...

ULA's New Rocket - Vulcan Centaur

We hopefully don't get into the weeds too much but launch costs for a reused Falcon 9 is a lot lower than $67 million. Basically it's partial build cost, range, fuel, a second stage. It's their rocket and their satellites. So you can remove any profit. It's just cost. I'd figure a reused...
