There are NO 90 degree turns on a HIGHWAY. HIGHWAY curves are INTENTIONALLY smoother than twists and turns on the regular road BECAUSE the speeds are higher. I've driven through Laurel Canyon many, many times. I've seen HUMANS miss some of those corners.
