Vendor Rear Adjustable Camber Bushings for Model S/X Group Buy

I have these on my P85, and the biggest difference I noticed, was the heat in the tires after a long trip, as well as the energy usage. I make the same trip 2 or 3 times a month, and it's all dead flat highway driving, each way. I would always notice the inner shoulders were 30-40 degrees warmer...

    Exclusive first Model 3 Dyno

No clue, but there's been interest in setting up a tesla dyno day here in NY. Gonna put something together for 4/22 I think.

So it seems the current battery revision is capable of delivering 370kW of power (500hp), and inside word is, Tesla is throttling these cars a significant amount. We will be retesting the car on different dynos very soon.

Movement like that seems to be inadequate strapping. When we strapped ours, we went over the control arms and tied to the dyno, itself, to pull the car down onto the rollers, and then tied the car front to back to prevent forward movement. If the car spins on the dyno, it throws all the numbers...

    Exclusive first Model 3 Dyno

Heres our calibration run max power. This held consistent on all 30mph runs, but the 10mph runs showed 390hp. I'm wondering if the car has a secret built in. With manual calculations, I am getting 545ft/lbs to the rear wheels, which is in line with the dragtimes video. We are going to be setting...

We are still trying to figure out the best way to get accurate numbers. The benefit to this particular dyno, is it also reads reverse torque for regen per axle.

Yes. It disabled traction, stability, ABS, autopilot, and threw a warning for TPMS.

    Exclusive first Model 3 Dyno

I have had my P85 on this very dyno, using the same method to calibrate (gear ratio, tire size, set it to 118rpm per mph) and it put down 441hp on 92% charge. We haven't done a heads up acceleration comparison between the P85 and Model 3 just yet, but the Model 3 doesn't feel all that much...

Can I ask who you are directing this to?

I mean, that when we did the test from 30mph, it showed about 250hp across 4 runs (248-255hp). If you watch the calibration run, you can see the screen shows a max of 248hp. When we decided to measure from 10mph, the power jumped to 393. The next 2 runs were 388 and 386 respectively.

Oddly enough, that's almost exactly where the P85 peaks at, as well.

It does do better than 5.1. There's been tests of it at around 4.5 to 60.

    Exclusive first Model 3 Dyno

Tesla is absolutely sand bagging this car. From 30mph rolls, we were getting consistent 250hp range pulls (you can see it in the TV during the calibration run). Once we dropped the speed down below 15mph, the horsepower jumped considerably.

Since we hadn't seen any posted, we decided to make our own model 3 Dyno video. Absolutely amazed by this car. It will change the world.

    Prototype rear camber bushing install

So after some minor tweaks, I was able to get these rear camber bushings installed on the rear camber arms of my 2013 P85. Fairly straightforward install once I figured it all out. These offer a pretty decent adjustment range, but you will be limited in overall range due to design and clearance...

    Model S Under the Hood

Correct. The roads are sprayed with CaCl before and during snow storms, and it turns into a nasty white spray that gets everywhere. It's easy enough to rinse off, but only when it's not 10F outside.

What Preventive Maintenance Does Everyone do

They aren't that low. The rotor and inverter can heat the coolant upwards of 150 degrees without issue. It's just standard 50/50 ethylene glycol with more corrosion inhibitors, as everything is aluminun.

What Preventive Maintenance Does Everyone do

Usually whatever is called for in the maintenance schedule. It may not be done exactly on time, but I try to stick with what's recommended. I just did my transmission service 2 weeks ago, and flushed the brakes a few months ago. Next order of business is a coolant flush, but I haven't found a...

    Portable in-car battery

Voltage. You'd need either a 400V system to parallel with the existing battery, or run it like an add on module, which would raise the pack voltage (and would need to be at the same voltage as the modules in the pack), and the system would need a massive regulator to keep the voltage limited to...

    bleeding our brakes

While I see this is an old thread, I'd like to point something out: these cars can be bled like a conventional car, but there additional steps involved. Tesla (and Brembo) says to NOT use a vacuum system to bleed the brakes on these. Recommended procedure is to pressurize the system from the...

    Service: Things are improving

Things at my local service center have greatly improved over the past 2 years. They crew there has always been awesome to deal with, and if go there just to hang out after hours if possible. The system hasn't been the most efficient, and they are severely overloaded, so quality control suffers...

    2013 P85 transmission service

This is what I'm trying to find out. The service centers don't analyze the fluid, so they have no idea if the elevated iron is normal for first service, or if there's an underlying issue. I may elevate this through tesla service to see if I can get any further info, but last time I did, they...

    2013 P85 transmission service

Look at what they are seeing. The car has 54k miles and the oil has 18k. Their assumption would be that it's been changed once prior (as there isn't enough room on the form to give a whole rundown).

  38. Mysterylectric

    2013 P85 transmission service

I'm asking if the arguably extreme iron content is normal for a first service, or if it's indicative of an imminent failure of a transmission component. I'm making zero assumptions, because I don't have any data to compare it to.

    2013 P85 transmission service

So I recently did the fluid service in my 2013 P85. Service was done with about 18.5k miles on the replaced drive unit. The service itself was very straightforward, and I have the video linked below. However, after having the fluid analyzed by Blackstone labs, the iron content in the fluid is...

    For $2500 seats?
  41. Mysterylectric

    Executive seat conversion?

I don't actually see how that would be possible, as the seats back right up to the motor box as is. I'd be curious about this though.
  42. Mysterylectric

    Executive seat conversion?

We'reout the shipping each way. Oversized shipping like that is probably $200 each way, each seat. That's $400 down the drain, and I'd be pretty upset, as would the other party.
  43. Mysterylectric

    Executive seat conversion?

I can buy them new from tesla still, and there's a few people who have been interested in a trade. I don't want to commit to a trade if it turns out it isn't possible to swap. I feel like it should be a direct swap, but I don't know for sure.

    Executive seat conversion?

I have a 2013 P85 with grey bench rear seats, and I am looking to convert to the executive rear seats. Tesla is no help on the issue, and I've searched through the forum with no luck. Does anyone know if it's possible to retrofit the the executive seats into the bench cars, and will the rear...
