I have these on my P85, and the biggest difference I noticed, was the heat in the tires after a long trip, as well as the energy usage. I make the same trip 2 or 3 times a month, and it's all dead flat highway driving, each way. I would always notice the inner shoulders were 30-40 degrees warmer...

Movement like that seems to be inadequate strapping. When we strapped ours, we went over the control arms and tied to the dyno, itself, to pull the car down onto the rollers, and then tied the car front to back to prevent forward movement. If the car spins on the dyno, it throws all the numbers...

We are still trying to figure out the best way to get accurate numbers. The benefit to this particular dyno, is it also reads reverse torque for regen per axle.

Yes. It disabled traction, stability, ABS, autopilot, and threw a warning for TPMS.

I have had my P85 on this very dyno, using the same method to calibrate (gear ratio, tire size, set it to 118rpm per mph) and it put down 441hp on 92% charge. We haven't done a heads up acceleration comparison between the P85 and Model 3 just yet, but the Model 3 doesn't feel all that much...

Can I ask who you are directing this to?

I mean, that when we did the test from 30mph, it showed about 250hp across 4 runs (248-255hp). If you watch the calibration run, you can see the screen shows a max of 248hp. When we decided to measure from 10mph, the power jumped to 393. The next 2 runs were 388 and 386 respectively.

Oddly enough, that's almost exactly where the P85 peaks at, as well.

We fully defeated it ;) I wouldn't recommend doing it out way, but it can be done with a little.....persuasion.

It does do better than 5.1. There's been tests of it at around 4.5 to 60.

Tesla is absolutely sand bagging this car. From 30mph rolls, we were getting consistent 250hp range pulls (you can see it in the TV during the calibration run). Once we dropped the speed down below 15mph, the horsepower jumped considerably.

Correct. The roads are sprayed with CaCl before and during snow storms, and it turns into a nasty white spray that gets everywhere. It's easy enough to rinse off, but only when it's not 10F outside.

They aren't that low. The rotor and inverter can heat the coolant upwards of 150 degrees without issue. It's just standard 50/50 ethylene glycol with more corrosion inhibitors, as everything is aluminun.

Turn the AC on full blast while supercharging. This is almost guaranteed to open them. Most of the time, you'll hear the fans kick on on a hot day with just the AC on.

Things at my local service center have greatly improved over the past 2 years. They crew there has always been awesome to deal with, and if go there just to hang out after hours if possible. The system hasn't been the most efficient, and they are severely overloaded, so quality control suffers...

Look at what they are seeing. The car has 54k miles and the oil has 18k. Their assumption would be that it's been changed once prior (as there isn't enough room on the form to give a whole rundown).

We'reout the shipping each way. Oversized shipping like that is probably $200 each way, each seat. That's $400 down the drain, and I'd be pretty upset, as would the other party.
