Apple app for Summon, pic of Model 3, maybe

The article is a little unclear. They are claiming to have seen a possible prototype then show the pic of a body shell. You have to read the article. Actually I don't expect it to look anything like Model S

Why anyone needs a car that does 155 mph or a roof rack good for 140 mph

Possibly something to do with how luggage is frequently left behind from planes

Why anyone needs a car that does 155 mph or a roof rack good for 140 mph

By the time you have crossed 3 lanes in about 24 seconds a car that was a mile away is already on you. On 5 lanes you are a dead duck.

Why anyone needs a car that does 155 mph or a roof rack good for 140 mph

It gets pretty strange if you are trying to cross the road with cars doing those speeds. I once needed to get to an emergency phone across the freeway because my car had stopped. Cars coming onto me at 110 kph (70 mph) come up extremely quickly. I imagine a pedestrian could not even see a car...

OK so I read the link (to Garrett News Events). You really are mad McRat. Incidentally, why did you buy a Tesla? Or if not, why muck around here? What interests you. You should be in your shed with Mrs McRat building the 250 mph next truck! Or will it be a Tesla based race car?

Why anyone needs a car that does 155 mph or a roof rack good for 140 mph

I wonder who how why when what they tested that thing? Wind tunnel? Or some loon out on the road belting it until it fell off? How many times? Can they replicate the test? Who is up for trying it? Don't forget to load it with something disposable (mother in law?) - - - Updated - - - Got to...

Here is a tweet from Mr Musk: MX roofrack guaranteed to 140 mph. You keep one wing door out of action Elon Musk on Twitter:

I am pretty sure it was MX Elon was talking about. I think you leave one wing door out of action, does that sound right?

Why anyone needs a car that does 155 mph or a roof rack good for 140 mph

(Original OP) Lots of good answers, but no answer yet? Is there anyone here who has driven MS or MX at 155 (250 kph) or the MX with a roof rack at 140?

OK, thanks 'prp'. And this forum is different? I see a lot of the same people on here. I can't help feeling it would be better using real names. Only some on both fora have the same screen name (I couldn't get mine but no one else would have my real name). Why do people want to hide behind a...

Why anyone needs a car that does 155 mph or a roof rack good for 140 mph

Actually the car is limited to 155mph They Who Know figured this was the sensible speed to limit it at. But who actually wants to drive at 155? Maybe those who want to drive fast would drive faster if it wasn't limited to 155. And those who want to drive slower...nearly 100 % of the...

    Model 3 Deliveries via "Summoning"

Think of the games kids/big kids could play. Like when you put bullets or coins on a train linein the good old days. So 100 Models 3 are travelling in convoy, driverless and following the leader. A meter apart. Someone throws a teddy bear, stuffed deer or inflatable kangaroo in between them...

I started a new thread because I didn't find this one. It got about 3 or 4 replies then got moved to here. Only found it here because I searched my own name. Isn't it obvious that Tesla really doesn't like you/ us all? If they did they would communicate that they do. OTAs and all, and they...

Anyone buying TSLA at $200 a share for long term holding?

I bought at $262 and intend to hold. I figure Powerwall could be bigger than all cars combined. "Only invest what you can afford to lose"
  34. Ross1

Anyone aware of Powerwall's share of TSLA revenue?

Considering Tesla is reported to have taken $800,000 of orders in the first week, and is sold out for 2016, financial expectations might well compare with the car business. 50,000 cars at $100 k each is revenue (not profit) of $4 billion. 100,000 Model 3 at $50k is also $4 billion. Powerwall...
