With you being in WA there is a lot more logistically that needs to happen before you get your vehicle. Maybe they're getting updates from the shipping lines and transport and have to keep updating it for you.

Going off historical production schedule of Tesla Shanghai we probably won't see any Teslas on those two ships. Maybe other China built vehicles though. (MG, BYD, Polestar, GWM and anything else that comes from there).

It is very hard to say. I would trust your dates in the app and considering you got the most common spec they are more likely to build enough to cover that. Another benefit of having that spec is you are more likely to be bumped up if there are cancellations. Just remember there will be people...

Scratch my last question. To be fair the car will show as being in Shanghai until it arrives in Australia. It has no way of communicating its position in the middle of the ocean.

Funny how there’s no word of the fuel in all the ICE cars not burning though. I can’t see it causing any problems for shipping EVs. It’s not as though the EVs started the fire.

Tesla don’t do discount and there isn’t any provision for this. Unfortunately it is how the world is at the moment and delays are almost across the board with all manufacturers. Same story for anyone asking for a delay in a 300 land cruiser for instance.

It jumps around alot. From what I can gather if it said 8-12 weeks when you ordered then that’s when you should get it. Unless you ordered a M3P as there seems to be some delay with them

You’re going to have to be careful on the way home. Looks like the Tully charger has now faulted as well leaving 0 chargers between Townsville and Cairns. That’s really poor form and for a lot of people will make that trip impossible in an SR+
