According to my OA it is the exact opposite. East coast deliveries are assigned first and leave the factory first because they take the longest to travel. I too was feeling this frustration, but we're doing this outside of Tesla's process so best to let them do their magic.

I'm not sure FSD matters much as Tesla can't recognize most of the revenue from FSD yet anyway. They have over $750 million in unrecognized revenue from things like this :eek:

Delivery date has shown up in the tesla account of 5/11 for a 4/11 order. M3P Blue/black/FSD. Still no VIN but I was able to get hooked up with my delivery specialist from before so I know this should be a smooth process! Will be 4 weeks total instead of 2 but I'll be ok :)

Inventory is building up at delivery centers (check out ev-cpo.com which has gone from less than 90 to over 450 in the week) so i'm hopeful that performance VINs will continue to be delivered into next week. Looks like they are pumping out vehicles destined for the US in the last week of the month.

Hopefully you get a VIN # attached in the next day or so. If that is the case, and Tesla are batch producing performance versions, they should clear the backlog rather quickly IMHO. Also looks like the text messages are going out to east coasters first. :cool:

I don't think the situation is dire, it is more a matter of Tesla not effectively communicating how and when they are producing vehicles and for which market. These issues are not permanent as gigafactory 3 will produce solely for the china market and there is a possibility of gigafactory 4 in...

I was told by my OA that when production starts back up for the US, east coast orders are created first because of the longer transit time.

I've come to the same conclusion before reading this thread. A deposit on Model Y before the end of Apr19 is a FREE option to purchase the future at current pricing. Nowhere else can you get such a thing. If Elon doesn't meet his targets and robotaxi aren't a thing, just get your deposit back...

Ordered a Model 3 Performance on 4/11. Blue with black interior and FSD. Two weeks is close to upon us and nothing from Tesla. OA is saying another 4 to 5 weeks as all production is going overseas. Kind of disappointing for the website to mislead buyers. :( o_O
