    Not really. You said the reason for the abrupt price change was to incentivize the people who are waiting to see how low it will go. I said that the price drop was to get the government to subsidize a discount to clear inventory.

    There are no guarantees that the price will stay the same after July. So it might not be a $2,835 difference in July. Also heard somewhere on this forum that the builds near the end of the quarter have a lot of quality issues because they’re so rushed to build cars.

    You’ll get the $3,750 for sure. The question you should be asking is will you get the $2,500 California Rebate. As of this today, the funds have been depleted...unless you’re 300% below the poverty line.

    I think people are rejecting delivery because it takes 5 weeks to get the car into the shop, and 6-7 days for the repair as indicated by an earlier post. Understandably, there's a loaner. It's just the inconvenience of it all is what I'm assuming.

    I think the service experience have already changed or will change in the coming months. A coworker was also denied service for cosmetic issues. I have a feeling Tesla is clamping down on post delivery repairs after Elon's email about monitoring costs.

    It’s not just a few people posting on the internet. Consumer reports has pulled their recommendation due to fit and finish. I think fit and finish is a legitimate issue for Tesla.

    Just like sales tax, if there is no sale, in this case a return, CA can’t keep the tax.

    Not totally true. Not all updates are software related. Two that comes to mind are seats and HW3. A lot can happen in a year and Tesla can swap out parts for better parts.

    So interesting. The delivery manager and the SA talked me into returning as well. However, my SA did quote me 15 days because I paid cash and he explained that Tesla wants to get my money back as soon as possible so I can take delivery on another car before quarter end.

    I would say my experience was very similar. Ordered over the phone with inside sales. Never once did they try to upset me. Even leading up to my delivery date, I was never upsold.

    Didn’t GM have to take a handout from the government just to stay in existence? Also, I believe you’re referring to GM losing $38.7 billion in market cap. Tesla reported a 702 million loss in hard cash.

    You do realize that Tesla is now too big to fail. Their brand is also too valuable to just disappear. Rest assured Tesla will always be around. It may be acquired by another company, but it’ll still be here in our lifetime. So I’m not too worried about the financial health of Tesla.

    Because Tesla will get 20-30% cut of the fare. Why would they turn away free money at zero cost to them. They could just turn off FSD after the ride.
